Hi guys,
I want to save some money and up my protein intake. I want to buy large cans of chunk light tuna from costco (the really big ones!). They're only $8 for a lot of protein. My question is can I open the can and put the tuna in freezer bags then freeze them in the freezer, then when it's time to eat, I want to throw tuna in the microwave to defrost & heat and there I have a ready-to-eat meal with some olive oil and bread. Can I do this? Will tuna taste bad if microwaved? How long should I microwave it for?

the smell alone would be repulsive being heated not to mention the mercury issues if consumed frequently though the chunk light is lower than solid white
