if they go undefeated and do very well in playoffs I don't see why not. you have a rediculously good defense paired with an offense that sports one of the best receivers and QBs of all time. The only real weakness of the pats is the running game, which is really just the result of bad luck in that we've had back to back injuries of maroney and morris
Tom Brady wishes he was half as talented and a quarter as good looking as Aaron Rodgers.

I don't consider them a dynasty yet... I think of dynasty covering a longer period of time than they have covered to this point. Patriots have three Super Bowls in six years (borderline dynasty) This year would make four of seven(dynasty). I would definately consider that a dynasty. In football I consider these the greatest dynasty's:
Steelers of the 70's - four Super Bowls in six seasons
Browns in 40's & 50's - seven titles in ten years
Packers of the 60's - won five NFL titles in seven years
49'rs of the 80's - four Super Bowls in nine years
That said.... what the patriots are doing is more impresive than most of these because the changes to sports (free agency, sallary cap, etc) have made it much harder to sustain greatness than it used to be.

Happened with Rodney Harrison and Corey Dillon before him, Bellicheck wouldn't take in people that he didn't think would get serious when they got here (and why wouldn't they?) The pats also have some great leaders on offense such as Brady and defense such as Bruschi. The fact that they put Randy's locker right next to Brady's should tell you something

Part of the reason for that though is because the Pat's just picked up his contract on the last year from Oakland... So if he goes back to Randy "Sideline Cancer" Moss this year... He might not be a Pat in 2008... And will make less money somewhere else.
But if he's a picture perfect player that helped catapult the pats to a perfect or nearly perfect season... He can to some degree write his own check for the twilight years of his career.
Plus they're winning... In MN Moss always got in less trouble when things were going good and the more trouble the team had, the more he started running over police officers, smoking dope, and throwing tantrums.6'4"

the 17-0 Dolphins were obviously an excellent team, but even though they were undefeated, they went into the SB in 1972 as underdogs.
They won, but their schedule was easy throughout the year and they were less than overwhelming.
I know, I know, who cares, 17-0. Not trying to rip on them. But when the subject of "best teams of all time" comes up, the 72 Dolphins get mentioned, but passed over in favor of the 85 Bears, the 7x Steelers, the 8x Niners and the early 9x Cowboys.

Its not just a difference in playing styles, its a difference in the game itself. The players today are incredibly faster, stronger, larger, and more skilled while the coaching has become far better and detailed.
It would be like wanting to see Jerry West go one on one with Kobe Bryant....I am not voting AGAINST McCain, and I am not voting FOR Obama. My vote is 100% anti-Palin

When the Patriots win the Super Bowl this year (after an undefeated season), Tom Brady and Bill Belichik will ascend into the heavens along with the Lombardi trophy. There will be a huge explosion and a new constellation depicting the two holding the trophy will be born. The constellation will only be visible once a year, on Super Sunday. The Lombardi Trophy will be renamed the Belichik Trophy.
(No, I'm not a Patriots fan)

IF the pats go undefeated, they will be one of the greatest NFL teams of all time IMO. when the 72 dolphins went 16-0, they did not verse a single team over .500, the pats are versing all .500+ teams. but you still have to wonder how much of their wins are attributed to cheating. no one knows how often they cheat, it could be every game, but they were only caught twice
