As the dad of a Kindergarten aged girl, I've never showered with her or nor would I ever. I have primary residency with her so she's with me most of the time and I make her bathe every day. When she was little it was her in the tub and me outside of it leaning over to help. As she's gotten older she's taken on more of the responsibility of cleaning herself and I usually just come in and make sure she's washed all the shampoo/conditioner out of her hair because she's not very good at that. I can't understand any reason why a parent would really take a shower with their kid.
