They drive surprisingly smooth lol
Got a chance to drive an old one and am thoroughly impressed. Suspension is probably smoother than a lexus. Fook

I had an '84 ex police car Impala when I was in high school. Ripped out the computer and put in an HEI style distributor/Holly electric choke carb and headers. It wasn't super fast but it loved putting down dual burnouts because of the posi rear end. Had a 1000 watt stereo with that huge ****ing trunk acting like a resonator for the sub. Lots of fun cruising the main drag with friends.

I’ve had a lot of cars but I had a maroon 08 SS. Car was a trip.
There was one for sale recently my buddies dad was considering buying and I took him for a drive in it to show him what’s up.
They like to kick the front to the side towards the crown and then track straight, it’s pretty impressive considering the amount of torque they have.
Actually surprised me the amount of compliments I got on that car considering they were the red headed stepchild’s as far as SS go.Sloots Gon Sloot.

Howdy theory....
When I got discharged (June '69) a Brother was getting out a few days before me.
He told me about his '59 Impala not starting and he was very impatient to get out and head back home.
He said...."I'll sell it to you for 50$"....I thought he was nuts.
Another Brother (who will buy it if I don't) helped me diagnose the problem which was just a whole in the diaphragm of the fuel pump....that was it.
So...50$ for the car, 25$ for the new fuel pump and I had very comfortable, reliable, smooth riding White '59 Impala with red interior.
I don't know a shvtload about cars but I think it had a 283 cu." engine which was a highly touted one at that time.
I loved that beast.
That's my story.
