    PushingTheLimit Logs USPlabs Patented Anabolic

    PushingTheLimit Logs USPlabs Patented Anabolic

    About Me
I have been training off and on for 5 years now. In the last couple years I have had a few serious injuries really set me back and I am still dealing with them today. I workout at least 5 days a week and am currently working towards eventually stepping on stage in the Men’s Physique division. I am currently attending Texas A&M Nursing School and its coming down to finals in the next 2 weeks so this will be an interesting challenge. USPlabs Patented Anabolic has me interested and I am hoping to see many of the results previous loggers have noted.

    Body Stats
    Age: 21
    Weight: 194lbs
    Height: 6' 1"
    Body fat%: 12% Body fat

    Goals
    1) Increase Strength and GPP
    2) Gain 10lbs
    3) Survive Finals Week with my sanity.

    Training/Diet/Supplements

    Supplements I will be using:
    USPlabs Patented Anabolic
    Allmax Allflex
    BB.com Fish Oil
    MST MVP-365
    Gaspari Intrapro Vanilla
    Trutein Banana

My diet plan is as follows:
    Calories: 3500
    Protein: 240g
    Fat: 80g
    Carbs: 350g

I don’t strictly count calories but this is the estimated caloric intake. My goal is to eat a solid 5-6 meals a day of nutrient dense food. Just trying to gain weight.

    Training Split
    Westside Barbell for Skinny Bastards.
    Monday: Dynamic Lower Body
    Tuesday: Prowler
    Wednesday: Dynamic Upper Body
    Thursday: Max Effort Lower Body
    Friday: Prowler
    Saturday: OFF
    Sunday: Max Effort Upper Body

I love this routine and have seen great results. Because of my injuries this routine works well because it allows adequate rest for my shoulder and knee. It is also just a ton of fun. The Prowler is a recent purchase and has been a love/hate relationship.

Unless I am particular happy with my lifts I generally won’t post my entire workout. I want this log to focus more on the effects of the product as opposed to being just another workout log. I take my first dose for this evening’s workout.

A big thanks to USPlabs for giving me this opportunity and let the games begin.

    Day 1 & 2

    Workout
    Max Effort Upper Body

    Overview and Thoughts
Overall this was a very solid workout. Took PA 45 mins prior to the workout. Nothing to note as of yet with PA but it is only the first dose.

    Workout
    Dynamic Effort Lower Body

    Overview and Thoughts
This workout takes place at 6 am. I eat small preworkout meal and then head to the gym and I am usually satisfied throughout my entire workout. This morning halfway through my workout I was extremely hungry. This workout consists of a lot of plymometrics so hunger is usually the last thing on my mind. Post workout I ate a larger than normal breakfast, took a quick nap and woke up hungry. I am also very thirsty. Had over 2 liters of water so far this morning.

    Day 3

    Workout
    Defranco's Prowler Challenge

    Overview and Thoughts
The Prowler continues to be a love hate relationship. There is no better cardio/recovery device on the planet but every time I workout with it I get the Prowler Flu. Decided to give Defranco's Prowler challenge a shot and it whooped my butt. Nothing to really note with PA today besides the increased hunger and thirst. I definitely noticed that within 90 minutes of taking it my hunger significantly increases. I took it today at 3pm and after my workout I had to stop by Chik Fil A on the way home. Chik Fil A is my addiction.

    Day 4

    Workout
    Dynamic Effort Upper Body

    Overview and Thoughts
This was an awesome workout. I was pumped from doing poor on a test I took in the morning so I went into the gym with a rage. I had a wicked pump in the workout. Still the most noticeable effect from PA has been the increased hunger. Muscles also appear to feel fuller longer and feel more dense. Idk if this is from PA or just from back to back solid workouts.

    Day 5

    Workout
    Rest Day

    Overview and Thoughts
This wasn’t a planned rest day but I had a 12 hour clinical shift at the hospital and it taxed me. A couple things to note though, first I had intense cravings for protein and carbs throughout the entire day. My cravings usually go for fatty salty foods but all I wanted today was meat and potatoes. I also felt a slight stimulant like effect from PA. I was dead tired from clinicals but after I took PA I felt a slight uplift in my energy levels.

    Day 6

    Workout
    Max Effort Lower Body

    Overview and Thoughts
Since I missed my workout the day before I combined my max effort lower body day with my prowler. I was brutal but something I will definitely do again. Only took 5 heavy sled pushes to produce projectile vomiting and I still had the rest of my leg workout. Overall a killer workout that will leave me sore for a few days. Nothing new to note with PA.

    Day 8

    Workout
    Max Effort Upper Body

    Overview and Thoughts
Took PA 30mins before workout. Had a great workout with an awesome pump. Fullness lasted for a few hours post workout. Overall a great workout but not sure how much PA impacted it. Not noticing much dosing it around my workouts. I may start dosing first thing in the morning to see if there are any drops in my performance in the gym.

    Day 16

    Workout
    Max Effort Upper Body

    Overview and Thoughts
First off let me apologize for the lack of updates recently. Crazy time at the end of the semester. Had a few good friends graduate so there were celebrations and ring dunks. For those that aren't familiar with Aggie tradition a ring dunk is a celebration of finally receiving your Aggie Ring. To celebrate you drop your ring and into a pitcher of beer and chug it as fast as you can while a large crowd cheers you on. A big moment for any Aggie that gets their ring.

On other news my GF and I have hired a nutritionist. Visited her on Friday and had a wake up call as to my current body composition and diet. I will be running a new diet beginning today so I am very curious how my body will react. Have to cut back on my peanut butter consumption and I am not happy.

Now to PA. I have continued to take it each day. I have noticed that during this short stretch of poor diet and excessive drinking that I have maintained my fullness and generally denser than usual.

Had a great workout today with a wicked pump. I took PA this morning with a large meal and hit the gym 2 hours later. Overall endurance was down but that can't be attributed to PA.

    Day 16 Pic
No pic. Promise to have one each day from here out.

Don't know how to embed but here is some entertainment for the few people following along this log. Embarrassing but awesome video at the same time.

    Day 17

    Workout
    Dynamic Effort Lower Body
Box Jumps 36 inch box 5x3 Jumps
Step Ups 3x10 Reps holding 30lb DBs
Eccentric Glute Ham Raises 4x5 reps
    DC Calves 1x12 reps
    Defranco Barbell Complex 3 times

    Overview and Thoughts
Took PA with my preworkout meal at about 5:30am. I enjoy dynamic leg days because it is a bit more intense than the other workouts. Weighed myself today and I am still at 196. As far as PA goes I am not missing my preworkout at all with these early morning workouts. Definitely doesn't get me amped like a preworkout but enough to get me up and to the gym.

My gf is a nutritionist also. We had an arguement because in her books, the RDA for protein is 1 gram for every KG of bodyweight. I told her thats for your everyday person but for a bodybuilder or someone who wants to pack on muscle its 1-1.5 grams of protein for every pound not kg. She couldn't find that info anywhere in her text nor did her professor know.

I told her to google and talk to other bodybuilders...and guess what I was right.hahahaha

Yeah I had the same arguement with my nutrition professor in college once. The nutritionist I have now does the diet plans for most of the NPC and Pro competitors in southern Texas. Decided I didnt have anything to lose by giving it a shot.

    Day 18

    Workout
    The Fighter Sled Workout
5 Pushes for 2 minutes in duration

    Overview and Thoughts
This workout is killer. The original workout is supposed to be 4 minute pushes but I will have to work my way up to that. This had me feeling sick by the 3rd push. Took PA first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Not really noticing much as far as body composition changes. Pics aren’t showing too much either. Training and diet has been very solid with the exception of those 3 party days. Still have a week and half to go so will have to see from there.

Took me a minute to find this one. Late but in! I wouldn't worry too much about the pics. Pictures usually don't do you full justice. As long as you are noticing measurable changes yourself that's what matters.

I don't think that protein intake is ideally defined in terms of grams per lb. or kg per group of people considering differences among sources and the differences among individual needs. Even among bodybuilders etc. the requirements vary so much that I wouldn't even bother arguing for any set range. Having said that, an athlete or someone looking to add lean mass will certainly require a greater intake than a sedentary person given that they have a similar BMR.

PTL...Now that you are a few weeks in what would you say has been the main feature of VERSA-1 thus far?

Thanks for following along. For me personally the biggest thing I have noticed is an increase in appetite. Just feel like I can and need to eat everything. I also just feel harder and denser throughout the day.

    Overview and Thoughts
Headed home for the holidays. Long drive from A&M to home so I had to pack up and get out pretty early. By the way I am liking the name for PA. Will catch a lot of eyes.

    Workout
    Max Effort Lower Body
    Heavy Prowler Pushes 5x30 yards
    Sandbag Lunges 4x10
    Eccentric Glute Ham Raise 4x5

    Overview and Thoughts
I love this workout. The prowler punishes my legs. Everything after the prowler Is so much more difficult. Really makes for a taxing leg workout and cardio workout. PA was taken prior to training. Nothing really new to report with it.

    Day 22

    Workout
    GPP Sled Work
    Sled Drag 200 yards x 6
    Extensive foam rolling

    Overview and Thoughts
My legs were extremely sore from the previous workout. I decided to put on the harness and just drag my sled around the park down the street to get some blood flow. Followed it up with some very deep foam rolling with my rumble roller and a lacrosse ball. It hurt so good. Took PA upon waking. I have noticed I am sorer than usual, could possibly be attributed to PA. I haven’t busted out the foam roller in awhile and I legitimately felt like if I didn’t I wouldn’t be able to walk later in the day.

You know I've seen people say that they were more sore and others rave about being less sore. I figure that the increased soreness is simply a result of the increased intensity in the gym but that you're getting faster recovery. Have you found this to be true PTL or is it still too early to tell?

Sounds like those calories are going to good use! Get those carbs in and see what happens.

    Day 23

    Workout
    GPP Sled Work
    Sled Drag 200 yards x 6
    Extensive foam rolling

    Overview and Thoughts
Today was supposed to be a complete rest day but my legs were still thrashed so I did some more recovery work. It snowed today so dragging the sled proved to be on hell of a workout. The snow kept building up on the skis of the prowler.
