I'm bulking. I usually wake up at about 6 AM, and I'm looking for something to get into my system before I get to work and eat a "real" breakfast at my job's cafeteria around 8:30 (eggs and oatmeal, or something like that). Besides chunking a quick protein shake in the morning, I need some good ideas for some preferably solid foods that I can eat that will get me to my bigger meal in the morning.

Quick and Easy Breakfast Ideas?
"Do or do not. There is no 'try'."
Failure is never an option. It's just a temporary result of pushing your limits.
"I know how it feels to expect to get a fair shake, but they won't let you forget that you're the underdog, and you got to be twice as good..."

How the HELL do Clif Bars have a GI of over a 100
You do realize they have claimed it as a Medium GI food and if it were in fact over 100 they could be sued. Seeing as how they are a company since the early 90s I don't think you are right
Clif Bars are great. I feel great when I have them and I DON'T crash like I do when I have actual high GI foods

Well, that was one GI test (I got it from the GI database), for a discontinued flavor (cookies and cream), so maybe you're right.
As the first ingredient is "brown rice syrup", that's the only thing that would really make me think they are, too.
I'm still only consuming them AFTER I work out because even medium-GI foods like quick oats make me tired usually. Plus, low GI carb consumption pre-workout has shown to burn through fat stores vs. glycogen stores more readily in female swimmers... I'm sure the same would apply to female OR male weightlifters.
Edit: Besides, I've always found that Clif bars don't "stick" with me very long.KARMA; reps for life:

Not on the list? Don't worry! There's still plenty of chances to achieve good karma.
