congrats on the frotn squat pr! that's a heavy front squat. heavier than my back squat haha.
also your warmup for the clean is basically the same as the one in the article i just posted. it starts as an RDL from mid shin to knees, then clean pulls from mid shin, then power cleans, than full cleans, than power jerks, than split jerks.

Thanks, i watched the franks brothers crossfit vid again on last night so i'm now aiming for a 200kg+ front squat but ill be pretty happy with 4 plates and 175kg first.
The warm up looked good i kinda only watched the snacth vid but the ideas the same, might use the clean one as a general warm from now as well.people ask me how to train, and i answer "i look at what you do and then i do the exact oposite"
if your family was captured and you were told you needed to put 100 pounds onto your max squat within two months or your family would be executed, would you squat once per week? Something tells me that you'd start squatting every day

30 rep squats is just stupid who ever comes up with these WODs is insane, the middle part is meant to be a gaser but it just switched it for a 1k jog. Push press was ok i was hoping for alot more than 5 reps but a PR is a PR and i didn't fully lock out the rep at 130 but i should have had it easy. I duno if my clean technique is getting better but i've started to develop a bit of a dip but tbh i think its more just a curving of my back than anything else.
You'll get there it just takes time and hard work, the hardest part is staying injury free from rugby. i don't think i've hit a new squat PR in 2 years through injuries.people ask me how to train, and i answer "i look at what you do and then i do the exact oposite"

Congrats on the bench PR. I agree, 20 reps is bad enough, 30 reps is overkill.
I also agree on being injury free as being the hardest thing. This has been my worst year in terms or injury and illness in-season.MISC STRENGTH CREW

Thanks man. Tbh it's more a mental challenge than a physical one makes doing 20 reps seem easy, plus if someone told you to put 40-60% of your 1RM max on your back and do 3 sets of 10 without re racking the bar it doesn't sound that bad. Plus to quote another guys website i read it's all about being comfortable being uncomfortable and pushing yourself out with your comfort zone.
I think the whole thing behind sub maximal lifts is good for trying to stay injury free and also assessing what you really need to do in-season. The season i stayed the most injury free i was only in the gym once a week and did a core/rehab/prehab workout in my house a few other nights.people ask me how to train, and i answer "i look at what you do and then i do the exact oposite"

I forgot how hard the 6/7 sets of 3 are for this phase of TJM. The push press was tough and the front squats weren't exactly easy. Happy with the dips from monday and the PRs tonight. Clean form was pretty poor tonight, my form isnt really getting better i'm just getting stronger really. Was so close with the 260 deadlift lost it with my grip at my thighs, if i had fresher glutes i probably could have hitched it to lock out. Need to work on my right hand grip.
The WODs are good, brutal but good. Nothing beats up like they do. Went back to running this week though as i've been strugling with my running alot in training and the best way to get better at running is to run more. Ill go back to the WODs next week as the running is hard but its no where near as hard as a WOD.people ask me how to train, and i answer "i look at what you do and then i do the exact oposite"

Duno what happened with my pressing tonight i must have failed trying to get 120 overhead at least 4 times. I think i've done something to my left palm where i can't bare maximum weight on it, it was hurting doing dips and during the bench press. That WOD looks alot easier than it actually is and i should have went for a slighlty heavier dumbbell. Upped the alactic work that was alot tougher as well.people ask me how to train, and i answer "i look at what you do and then i do the exact oposite"

yep they where fried, the alactic stuff and tuesdays training didn't help either. ill prob hit deads and cleans tomorrow and get the front squats in on wed. i wana get as much leg work in as possible before my gym shuts down for christmas. i've also started doing random DB swing ladders in the house, to work on my swing/hip hinge technique.

Happy with the deadlifts although i did think it would be a good idea to try and dead 272 got the bar off the ground maybe an inch and i was seeing stars. All the swing work i'm doing in my house is definatley helping with my speed/power the bar is going up so much faster under 200kg.

First session in what feels like over a month. SO WEAK, struggled big time with that bench and squat. Only solution is to squat more! i think i'm going to go on a squat offensive for the rest of the month get over 200kg asap. I've decided to switch back to 531 this year, i was stalling a bit at the end of my 3rd cycle of Jugernaut and i ran them both in a spreadsheet for a year and the estimated maxes after 12 months are exactly the same.
Thanks bro, i haven't done any swings this year but i can still feel it with my deads. Doing that complex tonight the 70kg felt like the bar.people ask me how to train, and i answer "i look at what you do and then i do the exact oposite"

its a bad state of affairs when i cant run a mile, that was the time it took the tredmil to tick over a mile. i went out for a road run last week and ran around 2 mile in 15mins and it felt alot easier than on the tredmil. i should have had 150 on the bar instead of 160 for the squats.

I like the assistance work in that program. that's not a bad way to go at all.

(deads, row, press squat)
Squat is still pretty poor, i can't keep my heel down on my bad leg which just puts my hole squat forward. Kinda still planing that the sheer amount of reps will sort out all my squat form. Bench wasn't the best either went back to my old form of locking my elbows to complete the top part of the lift. Rest of it went ok maybe could have went light with the back stuff maybe..... I should also have done some more fitness but i couldn't be bothered.
It's the best 'bodybuilding' program i've used an the assistance work in it does work as assistance work at the same time. i'm getting the same as you can't face cardio in the gym but i really need it.people ask me how to train, and i answer "i look at what you do and then i do the exact oposite"
if your family was captured and you were told you needed to put 100 pounds onto your max squat within two months or your family would be executed, would you squat once per week? Something tells me that you'd start squatting every day

Have you thought of putting a small plate under the balls of your feet and doing bodyweight squats as a primer to help you stay on your heels? that's helped me in the past. could be tight calves that drive you forward as well.

Squat was feeling better, glutes were pretty tight tonight and i'm starting to feel a bit fitter now.
it's only the one leg so i wouldn't want to mess up the other leg by squating on plates and i've never liked that idea, i don't fancy stepping back with my max squat weight on my back and trying to find two plates for my heels but i think extra calf stretches is a great idea.people ask me how to train, and i answer "i look at what you do and then i do the exact oposite"

oh i meant something closer to doing body weight squats with your toes on a plate or board, and your heels on the ground, so that you can't push off the balls of your feet, since your toes are raised. you're forced to push off your heels. i'm trying to find the article i read about it.
