Hey guys, Im thinking of starting a new log in the teen workout section and hope you guys who follow will still follow on with it. The sports training forum is being spoilt with spam and I don't feel like posting here anymore, I even asked the mods to check it more but I got mod negged. Im not completely sure if I'll change logs but if I do I want everyone to follow on for some new workouts which include compound movements and Olympic lifts and plyos, gonna get real explosive this year!

Was reading through this log wishing I started free weights earlier, hit 1 plate bench 5x5 on Tuesday, below is a vid of me doing the last set and the other vid was a short vid I made for the Lols.

Would really appreciate of some of the old followers of this log could head over to my new one and follow that, need some more athletes following. Will probably update this log still but only with more important stuff like pr's and game results but not full workouts. I'm back anyways!

Just copy and paste, it's not that hard.......

I'm surprised nobody suggested to you sooner to hit the free weights, still starting out on machines isnt that bad. Just keep at it that's one mistake i made. I started at 16 worked out for a year then kinda stopped with the last year of school and first year of uni and didn't really train properly until the last year of uni/first year after i graduated. Missed out on all that natural testosterone thats in your body between 16-19....

5x5 will be a good prog to follow, hammer in the basic compounds.
people ask me how to train, and i answer "i look at what you do and then i do the exact oposite"

if your family was captured and you were told you needed to put 100 pounds onto your max squat within two months or your family would be executed, would you squat once per week? Something tells me that you'd start squatting every day

Okay I'll start copying and pasting workouts here, Only been hitting free weights for 3 months and I wish I started way earlier. 50kg on the machine bench press was cake compared to me doing that with free weights. Now I'm hitting 62.5kg on the free weights after 3 months

    Saturday- Full Body Workout

Good workout, can't wait to play rugby, I'm actually itching to hit somebody once we get back to it, season hasn't been great for me and the team, I was considering quitting since I don't get enough of the ball despite the fact I start and play the full game but I'm over it now and will keep working hard.

    BB Bench

    Max Effort Exercise

    50kg x 5
    55kg 2x5
    57.5kg x 3
    60kg x 5
    62.5kg x 5 PR new 5rm
x4, x3 - Didn't get 3x5 on 62.5kg so will aim to get that on tuesday!

    Chinups

BWx8 - core tightened up like crazy and could barely do any more so I didn't.

    Deadlift

    80kg x 5
    90kg x 5
    95kg x 3
    100kg x 3 (220lbs)

Nice, was explosive through the hips in these and didn't have to grind.

    Pendlay Rows

    50kg x 5
    60kg 3x5 PR 62.5kg next time

    Clean Pull

    60kg 3x5

    Nice and explosive

    Facepulls

    80lbs x 15, 10, 8

    DB Curls

    10kg x 13, 10

    JAY Z - A STAR IS BORN

    Bench: 255lbs (115kg)
    Squat: 320lbs (145kg)
    Deadlift: 430lbs (195kg)

    UPDATE

Won't be lifting this week as I have to go to Ireland for my Aunt's Birthday Party
We won the cup game today, it was around 52 - 12
Also thanks to all of you guys posting in this log! Will check yours out and rep you

    GOALS FOR NOVEMBER

BW Bench (70kg-72.5kg) for at least 1 rep, 3-5 reps being ideal. This is a good 7.5kg off of my current 62.3kg 5rm but if I eat right I should be able to get it for sure.

80kg Squat x 3 - Doing 3x3 now on squats, very low volume and high intesity for strength in squats. Last time I did 70kg 3x3

110kg+ Deadlift - Basically PR on this since I haven't in a while

Weight: 160lbs+ Currently at 157.6 morning weight. Keeping the weight gain slow until the offseason.
    Bench: 255lbs (115kg)
    Squat: 320lbs (145kg)
    Deadlift: 430lbs (195kg)
