If the word is said "beamer" then why would I spell it any different? Bimmer looks like it'll sound like the word dimmer with a B. Which is a totally different sounding word than "beamer." Only way I'd know it's spelled bimmer, is if I was into them at epic douchebag levels.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #56 ▪█─────█▪

As I said, many pronounce bimmer as it is spelled. Also, as i looked more (as my buddy questioned it) it is debated on whether bimmer is officially pronounced beemer or as spelled. Personally, I (along with most enthusiasts) pronounce it bimmer, like dimmer with a b.
But either way, you're now saying that the term beemer is an american slang, which is absolutely false, considering the word originated with their motorcycles. The annunciation of bimmer is here nor there, as the spelling of it came about when BMW first got into building cars and is by no means an American slang either.-

Never had any gym take issue with me using chalk and I'd call most of them fitness centers rather than gyms. I keep it in a ziploc bag big enough to fit each hand in so I don't make a mess and try not to leave the joint looking like the floor of a bakery.
My advice: find another gym.
