So as I am now officially 28 (that GMT time), I've been doing the reflection thing. Ten years ago, where did i think I'd be at 28?
Married
Kids
Good job
Mortgage
Car
Happy
Hawt
What have i done?
Ummm no to married, not even close
Kids? Not that I know of!
Good Job? Just started a new one a few months back and loving it, so yes got that one
Car? Ummm no
Mortgage? Ha ha ha
Happy? Mostly this is a yes
Hawt? No clue, don't care, comfortable in my skin
And looking at that childish list made me think, I may not have achieved my goals, but I'm comfortable in my skin, I kicked eating disorders to the kerb, I learned some pretty painful lessons in love, I found a job I like, I've made amazing friends and actually, I'm enjoying myself for the most part. I've been up and down and all over.
Dark nights of the souls, and sunshine of the mind have been had. Its been a heck of a journey, I've hated myself and hated others, I've been broken and I've been whole. I've grown up. I've let go of things and taken new ones up. Things will never be perfect for anyone, but right now, my bed of roses has the most minimal of thorns. I have a lot of growing up and learning left to do- that's part of the fun of life, we can and will never know it all. Its a journey, not a destination.
I love my job, my friends, my family, my pets, hello kitty and I love working out parts of my body. Next stop is BJJ cause I do love a good grapple/fight.
Never mind the next 10 years, who knows what the next 12 months will bring? I'm glad to say goodbye to 27.
28 can only get better- its all up from here.
Feeling positive and also thirsty......
That is all
Happy Birthday to me

Another year.................
Whether you think you can, or you think you can't - you're right.
Aim for the stars and you might reach the moon, Aim for the ceiling and you won't get off the ground
I can do anything for 12 hours that would horrify me if i had to do it for life.
