Given that we all have insecurities, but for the women who do not work out, or put any time and effort in their appearance, why must they try to put us down.
not that their opinions matter, but sometimes its the ones closest to us. Its sooo annoying. Anyone else has experienced this?

I don't know what happened exactly, but I can say that some women seriously think that any bit of muscle mass is manly. I was in the locker room one day at the gym, this girl, who is like 5'11" and maybe 110 lbs, was talking to her friend and said something about how she had to tone down her training because her arms were starting to look too manly. Her upper arms are about as thick as my wrists. I've never WTF'd so hard in my life.

Not even women can put up with some of the things nonlifter women say.
May the creator have mercy on us all....“We pay too much tribute to a few human insects when we let their wrong-doing paralyze our faith in humanity. It is a lie of the cynics that says ‘all men are ungrateful,’ a companion lie to ‘all men have their price.’ We must trust humanity if we would get good from humanity. He who thinks all mankind is vile is a pessimist who mistakes his introspection for observation; he looks into his own heart and thinks he sees the world.”

yep, my 17 year old daughter. She says eeww to my muscle, and asks why do I go to the gym ALL the time ( I go 6 days average 30-45 mins!) When I say I feel tired she blames it on my healthy diet and exercise (couldn't be juggling work and home).
When I catch up with friends, they usually comment that I look great, then they all start nitpicking eg. how can i be bothered, blah blah.
Its pretty annoying at times, as its not me who even brings anything up, its usually them...
Its almost like you have to defend and explain why you live healthy and workout to these peopleCheers,

I'm pretty fortunate here. There are about 4 people where I work getting themselves into shape and it's good to talk to them about it.
But I know what you mean, my roommate has already told me I picked a horrible time to go on a diet and that she doesn't like all the room my new food takes up.
I just sigh then I go to BB.com and do my best to forget I have a roommate. :P“A free people ought not only be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government” -George Washington

Only person I've got crap from thus far has been my MIL, she's very passive agressive about things too. She says she works out (leisurly pedal on the bike in front of the tv while doing triceps extensions with 5lb DBs for MAYBE 15min) And not regularly btw. ANYWAYYY, she made a comment about how I looked too thin and asked if I lost weight, I told her no and that I actually gained weight due to beginning some dumbell training (no cardio) but that my fat % might be down. She got this serious look of discouragement and then a fake smile came over her and she said "eat more wheat, that will make you gain weight" I told her I eat all the carbs I need and that "I am not trying to get fat I am trying to get muscular". She was just pissed because she gained a bunch of weight this month when her husband retired. It didn't hurt my feelings or anything just darn annoying.
