The scope is mounted the absolute farthest back possible to where the dust cap can still flip up freely. Even one more notch back and it hits the Knight's flip-up. Like I said, temporary poverty optics. I could move it back but I don't want to take off the BUIS. It's a powered chevron dot scope. Wide range of eye relief, 1.4-4x, so it almost acts like an open red dot, and actually the Midwest rail fits so tightly that zero hasn't moved in a couple hundred shots so far.
I will say the Armalite is a good AR, but the Colt absolutely wastes it in every category.

I like knives a ton
my favorite knives aren't over 150$ tho, which I find kind of weird
current favorite is esee izula, so small but so sharp. less than 50$ but it feels a bit weird without grips/paracord
I keep thinking about getting a busse knife, but it's a lot of money for a knifepr's:
deadliftin: 475
benchin: 325
squatin (parallel): 415
squatin (below parallel): 385
incline dumbbell press: 115*8
front squat: 315
power clean: 260

Carrying on from the other thread. I apologize I am at work and on the pc when I shouldnt be right now
So 12x is retarded to put on my 16 inch ar? I used a 4x scope before and its not magnified for chit. How about an 8x for 2-3 hundred yard shooting?
A guy selling the 8x of that scope I listed. Btw why did everyone keep mentioning 1000-3000 when the scope I am looking at is 450 dollars?

Thanks brah.
Yeah for me under $100 or over $500 seems to be where most of my knives come from, of course when I save $500 it somehow turns from knife into gun money....
This one is my favorite custom knife, I got the last of the first 100 hence the "100" marking.
That ESEE is nice, I was thinking about that but I chose the Gerber Becker BK11 instead. Its cheaper.... only reason.
If you're smart in Cali mag limitations are not a problem, unless on AW/fixed mag wannabe.

you (and the operators telling you it is dumb) are thinking about it all wrong
the biggest difference from the higher magnification is going to be a more restricted field of view. the barrel being 16" shouldn't make a big difference in what scope you put, it will only change the bullet velocity a bit.
you're saying this is for the range so the more limited FOV won't matter. the barrel not being freefloated might matter because during shooting you may move the barrel from where you zeroed it.
with all that being said take a look at the swfa 10X milquad scope (non hd model). it is 300, so if you really give a **** about freefloating you can use the money saved on a free float handguard like the troy alpha.

Don't listen to 90% of the *******s in here. Put a scope on your 16 inch AR if you want to shoot up to 300 yards. I have a 5.5-22x scope on my .308 and still shoot it at 100 yards and when I do, it's zoomed at 22x. Here is the brand that I am kicking around for my 16 inch AR:

I am getting my haircut in 20min. When I'm done I'll run over to basspro and pick out one that I like for 450-500.
Do you already have rings btw?
