Everything to do with AUT and their Strength and Conditioning department (and honestly whole sport recreation postgrad department) and the people involved there. Total freedom to do what I want in terms of Thesis, extremely supportive people, very progressive school and extremely applied and practice based. The lab is married to the national training center, so basically funding exists and is there to enhance high performance sport. Most of the grad students are not only former or current athletes, but also strength and conditioning coaches, sometimes at the highest level, AND working on their grad work. So the applicability of the studies is very interesting. People have done their thesis on accomodating resistance (bands, chains, with resistance training), ACL injury prevention in Rugby players, Strongman training, periodization plans with equal volume and different intensities in weight lifters, etc etc etc.
So that really appealed to me, but the people are just so genuine, giving and focus on developing students in a global way; professionally, personally, academically.
Plus, the JSCR and SCR is FILLED with great studies coming out of AUT. I honestly thing it's probably one of the leading labs/schools in the world certainly for strength and conditioning and possibly for applied exercise science.

Come on now Ka0s just because to our trained eyes we can look at 1/3rd of the natural pros on stage and figure out specificially what compounds they use (some things you cannot hide sorry thems the breaks and some of them use drugs that produce a certain look that cannot be replicated by any other means), doesn't mean there are not legit natties up there. I tend to be of the opinion that it is about half and half. Probably 50% of the natty pros are legit natty, half are just doing what every other athlete does and pass a test (it isn't that hard). Although we could debate this in circles forever and never come to a consensus.
I see no reason to think Eric isn't natty.

There actually is since it gets brought up every 6 months lol
or rather there is a post I made where I linked like 15 different times over the past 5 years where I talked about my past SD usage openly and in the context of how it has effected me while competing in drug tested feds
LOL, at first I was like...dayum that's cold
but yeah, before I was seriously considering competing I did a handful of cycles of PH/PS in 05-06. Not really something I hide, something I hid, or whatever. Decided in late 06 after attending a INBF show as a spectator that that was something inspirational to me that I wanted to do, and stopped taking hormonal stuff. Then in 07 I contacted the orgs to see where I was eligible to compete so I wouldn't break any rules, competed where i was eligible in 07, then again in 09, which included more orgs as the 2 year PH/PS period passed for the INBF, then again in 11. Not really a unique story, probably a good third of natural competitors have taken ph/ps or used to be full blown steriod users in the past. I've talked to many of them at shows.
Decided they didn't want to use drugs, for whatever reason, and then wanted to keep competing. I really don't get the hullabalooLast edited by Quelly; 10-01-2012 at 12:08 AM.
