texture of real unflavored whey protein

what kind of texture does pure unflavored protein have? is it like sand(like regular sugar) or fluffy (like powdered sugar). reason being is that i bought some protein from TP and it looks different from other proteins ive tried, for example ON double chocolate and TNS wheyology have a more salt like texture. while TP protein has a more powdered texture.

protein in question is the whey blend.

.....I'm not really sure, but IMO, pretty fluffy, but not quite as much as powdered sugar.....

Natural unflavored whey should not have any type of salt like texture. I wouldn't quite call it powdered sugar texture, and but it would be more along those lines.

Should be relatively fluffy compared to most flavored proteins.

yeah powdered sugar was a stretch, but it has a similar consistency of CL golf feast

realized that it probably has to do with it not having xanthan gum, since the only ingredients are WPI, WPC, and soy lecithin.

Very well could be. The texture will be slightly different without the additives of flavored and formulated protein products.
