Just watched this "sewer scene" everyone keeps talking about and almost LOL'ed. His voice just sounds ridiculous for the character and the whole scene was cheesy. No way I would pay to see this movie.

Hardy will look BIG next to the average joe. Your "normal" people will think a 180lbs guy who lifts is already huge, let alone how big Hardy looked as Bane. You have to remind yourselfs that the movie is directed to the general masses not guys into the IFBB.
Plus, as i mentioned before there was not a SINGLE reason to make this Bane's version any bigger than what Hardy displayed since they completely wrote off the Venom substance out of the plot which was what gave Bane that freaky force and appearence in the comics.

I can't give you an exact reasoning. All i can say is that (and despite i liked the movie) the plot was all over the place, it was rushed and full of inconsistencies.

Yes, the problem is that no movie can be at the level of the cartoons, that's why all these directors have chosen to make their own version of the story and characters.

And to support my idea, here is the Transformers animated from 1986, great movie and animation, perfect voices (of course Cullen as Optimus and the legendary Orson Welles as Unicron), nice music. Bay's real action movies have been quite far from the expectations
