    Knees were feeling okay today. Didn't wear my knee sleeves since it's so damn hot. Wrists were okay, a little sore but I had iced them last night.

    I've decided I like doing front squats before my sots. It helps loosen my hips up for the sots and I'm able to do the presses without coming onto my toes.

    They are singles. I think this is a some what modified Bulgarian program. My workouts usually take me a little over 2 hours. Glenn is having me back off the lifts a bit so I can get my squat up, which is why I don't go heavy on them anymore but I still work technique.

    Bulgarian style training is interesting. I tend to think that, talk of working through the 'dark times' notwithstanding, most of us can't do enough volume of max singles to really benefit. I suspect that the volume working up to the max attempts, sometimes multiple times, is a key. Volume from lots of low rep attempts at 80-90% plus adds up.

    I may experiment again sometime to see if I can find the right spot on the volume/intensity continuum to make some Bulgarian style training work for me.

    Seems to be working for me. Another pr today!! But of course since I'm doing Olympic lifting it transfer over nicely for me. My cleans are much easier. Just have to get those jerks to match.

    Slept for 12 hours last night. Although I had ****ty dreams and woke up in a funk. Didn't eat breakfast or even have a protein shake, just rolled out of bed and went into the garage.

    Side note: I've found what is working really well for my squats is not really resting in between sets. The only rest I get is the time it takes for me to change the weights and chalk up if needed. The longer I rest at the heavier weights the harder it gets for me.

    I have a nasty bruise on my clavicle that makes these front squats really tough the last few days. Would probably help if I quit poking at it too but I'm just sadistic that way.

    Tomorrow will be the 5th day in a row that I'm training. I usually like to train 2-3 days on then one day off. Hopefully, by splitting up my squats in the am and afternoon I will still make gains.

    Was having a hard time locking out on 23kg lately so went back down.

    Hard time warming up today, hips and knees hurt. No pain in the quad but still tight and I could feel it.

    (M) just didn't finish pull

    Could feel it pulling in the quad on my jerks.

    I didn't want to squat at all today. My whole body just hurts. I did 55 and was going to give up there. Just kept telling myself one more squat. By the time I got to 80 I had completely given up. Had no bounce or drive. Not going to squat this afternoon. Mentally and physically I'm just done.

    I'm coaching CrossFit again starting this weekend so I will lift on Sunday. Back to lifting Sunday - Tuesday, Rest, Thurs-Fri, Rest. And I'm just going to squat once a day for this week.
