Don't train hard = no results Train hard = torn up back

So Im in a cutting phase till about October.... thats why Ive posted this here.

Usually get flamed when writing on this forum but whatever, here goes nothin...

Diet in check, cardio on point, etc, etc...

It's just when I "lift big" like you're supposed to i cant fu$*ing walk the next day cuz my back hurts like hell. So I take it easy not to destroy my back and just add more volume to my days, but then I'm not sore the next day even though volume was pretty much doubled using the lower weights...

    what gives?

THis isn't my first time at the rodeo either, been lifting for 5 years now. This back thing has been going on for 3 years. I do have minor case of scoleosis, not sure if that plays a role. Lifts are all done safely and with good form, always.......

Anyone ever have this issue, what did you do to fix it?? I want to train really hard, but if I do that, I'm out for a week easy. Every time.

What lift is causing the back pain, rows? Its either a form issue or a medical issue that people on this forum cannot give advice about.

Ya probably a medical issue now that i think about it... I dunno, can't afford to have this **** fixed anyways.... dude sometimes my back will be on an angle for a couple days. I mean like a 20 degree angle lean starting from my torso up to my shoulders.

Yea, well initially, squats, deadlifts, rows, bent over rows, those were the killers. Havent done those exercises in 2 years to keep back in check.

But lately, when I go big, my back starts to hurt, form is effin great, i use the mirror and am stickler about form because of my back. I jst feel like my back is taking the heat on big lifts. Did curls yesterday, and even just standing there with arms down and holding the weight, felt like my back was donig all the work and my arms werent even holding the weights..... weird man....

I am not denying your form is great but don't always be so sure. I thought my form was great for squats but I ended up screwing up my knees for a few weeks. I recommend you post a video in the exercises forum and get a form check on the lifts. I did the same and it helps a ton. If your form is fine then you definitely need a medical check.

I got back problems to. Been to doctors for over 6 years now to get it checked out, and I'm still left with the same crap.

    Things that have helped me over time;
    - Stretching
    - Mind muscle control
    - posture corrections
    - sleeping on back
    - focused breathing

And I literally just introduced Yoga practice into my life, and this seems to be helping tremendously.

I also take ibuprofin and am prescribed Flexeril 5mg for my back. (I try to go days or weeks without it though).

Basically, I've come to the conclusion I'll have this for life; so either I keep moving and do the best I can to stay in shape, or I let it consume me.

    I choose to keep moving.

and yea, I still have appointments setup in the next month. Going to be seeing a Orthopedic spine specialist and a neurological doctor to see if we can't nail this problem.

Yea I'm working on building all the muscles around my pain area..seems like a logical thing to do.

Will report back if I get situation fixed.

My pain region is the middle of my back (thoracic area)..and my upper right back.

Pretty sure its a squashed disc of some sort

Try it but as we discussed before get a form check first. Also you need to see doctors that specialize in sports injuries.

This. And mind over muscle control is so underrated -- it's amazing how you can focus on working one muscle group if you really thought about it. I've alleviated considerable back pain by just thinking of what group I should focus on, and avoiding putting stress on my back or other muscles.
