The scale has made itself obsolete in your progress at this point. Just get out there and CRUSH. You know what you have to do. The scale has made itself obsolete at this point. Add it to the list. Your cutting fatigue = obsolete. Your mental exhaustion = obsolete.

Word... I have to let the scale do what it is going to do and just focus on going 100% in the gym, on keep my protein high enough and my weekly calories low enough to cut at the maximum rate but high enough to hold onto my lean mass.
Have to keep my head in the game... I'm not even doing as much **** talking now because I see a lot of people's updates and too many people are doing too good... I've got to focus on coming in 100% as perfect as I possibly can and not worry about what anyone else is doing. If I get too deep into the bull**** this late in the game I risk psyching myself out and messing something up. It has to be about me now... not my competitors. I know that if I come in 100%, and lose as much fat as I biologically can, retain as much muscle as a can, get my skin tight and come in slightly dry... and the judges are fair that I will win this.
Oh it makes me rage for about 5 minutes then I get my head back in the game and avoid doing something dramatic like trying to hit 1500 calories that day or cut my carbs too low. If my body fat estimates are close a 1k deficit is now getting towards my maximum so if I go over about a 7k week deficit I am going to lose muscle.Last edited by JasonDB; 07-27-2012 at 09:57 AM.

Haha yea I was going to say your hormone levels would be tanked without some satty fats in there. But it seems like you got a plan thats working for you so by all means keep doing what you're doing. I kinda lol'd when you said "I go as high as 50-60g of fat" because that is usually what I think of as a minimum fat intake for someone your size (but its short-term like you said).

Definately... had to drop the idea that I was going to weigh x or y weight at the end of this as well and will just focus on losing as much fat as possible and coming in as full and tight as I am able at the end without concern for numbers. I certainly will not be the leanest at the end, but am hoping for the most impressive transformation.
Long term my cutting diet would also lead to vitamin deficiences as well. One reason I have been up front and repeat off and on in the long that I am on HRT, so that less experienced individuals reading it do not get the idea that it is ok for them to use my macros.
Also wife was not home in time during my feed window when I had great vascularity and my bicep viens had faded by the time she got home but had her snap a pic of my forearms at least. I get them all over my shoulders and upper chest in the gym but they fade 5 mins after I finish training.

Today is a day off from the gym, going to a dinner party about an hour away for my father-in-laws birthday it is some type of grill buffet, so I'll obviously be doing my IF thing, stick with lean meat and veggies then mostly protein when I get home as calories will be difficult to track. My bicep tendons could use the day off. I might have to skip curls tomorrow as well to make sure they recover.

Picture updates at 205... I am very depleted today and look a lot smaller than usual can tell refeed time is needed tomorrow, loose skin actually a little tigther but need to get it a lot better by the end. Sorry for the blurry pics my wife's camera is nowhere near as clear as her phone but it is a hassle for her to do quick pics on the phone. I am going to have to make sure the better camera is used for the afters though... the blurry is unacceptable.
In loving memory... RIP Zyzz
Progress has exceeded my initial expectations... just under 5 weeks to trim the rest of the fluff, get more tanned and get the skin tight. Lower back and hip fat are still a huge concern... seems like that is going to be my worst stubborn spot.

What was that thing you said about loose skin Jason? I can't remember what page it was on, something about getting rid of it, or rather what it actually is (just fat?)
Amazing progress dude, seriously. Serratus coming in nicely, arms are actually looking bigger despite being on a cut like you said! Looking better every week man, keep it up!

Me either... just need to stay consistent.
Thanks, I was happy about that also.
Thanks and it is only fitting as I put him in the OP of the thread.
Just over a month 31st of next month to finish up.
Cliffs: loose skin is basically loose fat that needs to be burned off and the skin will tight up almost overnight. Thanks and I might make it sound easy in my log but the progress has taken a ton of work and every ounce of willpower I have.
Thanks! Seeing it to the end... and I'll probably cut a little longer after this progress is over before working on size again. I want to be lean enough to lean bulk and still keep abs doing it.

That's good to hear. I always thought it takes months to get the skin to tighten up after fat loss, but if I get your point it's still just fat rather than skin, so people basically overestimated their leanness. So perhaps I can have tight abz when I'm lean enough.. life just got better.
For me it's always been an intrinsic thing (motivation-wise) but you can't deny that people commenting on how good you look feels fantastic. It's just that little extra satisfaction.

Yeah just get lean enough and it will tighten up on its own.
It does feel good and adds to the motivation.

I see what you did right thar.
Yeah my training frequency and deficit/fat intake is not working wonders from my connective tissue.
I think I do too and I am pretty confident but we don't know what everyone else is going to bring to the table. There are some hard working and knowledgable people in this comp and I can't afford to let up for even a day, as I don't know what any of them are going to pull off.

Done eating on my refeed... not sure if I can avoid vomiting I am so full.... IF cutting for months really does make it difficult to overeating during your feed window. So bloated and full that my stomach physically hurts.
