My soon to be ex-wife ****ing goofed
Could not agree more. Going through divorce now. I've got a ****ing FANTASTIC lawer though. Lol, my lawyer told me the dumb bish goofed and got an ambulance-chaser edition divorce attorney.
She was all fired up and on the war path until my lawyer sent a warning shot/heavily weighted counter demands. The bishes feminist lawyer looked up the credentials and case history of mine and shut RIGHT the fuk up. I'm going to BURY this bish.
It also helps that I kept a pretty sizable amount of liquid assets that she never knew about and never will.
The lessons I can give the MISC retards that belive in marriage:
1. Keep a ****load of COMPLETELY, I say again ****ING COMPLETELY, secret liquid assets. Don't tell your mom, dad, siblings, best bros, preist, ****ING ANYONE.
2. Research, and pay for, the best ****ing divorce attorney you can find. It might just be the best money you ever spend.^^^()GERMANIC CREW()^^^ ₪ ₪ ₪TRUE MI$CER₪ ₪ ₪★Combat Veterans Crew★

You say that like it's a bad thing.
You're 26 and posting on an internet forum? Married? Like to show your body to a bunch of young male strangers on the internet?
What's up? Trying to get a little time away from the wife? I can misc all night long if I want to, and nobody will b!tch at me. I don't even have to do the dishes or take out the trash first! I have it open on my 50 inch 3D LED tv in my living room right now while I drink my beer. Nobody bothering me to let them watch their estrogen-fueled b!tch shows. You jealous?
I've visited 5 different countries in the past year, have a 3 story, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom house all to myself, debt free, have an active social life, still get laid by girls in their early 20's and am completely satisfied with my life.
Come at me married bro.
Strong generalization. I actually do enjoy being alone.
brb, going to call all of my divorced/single 40+ friends and let them know that they are all sad, lonely losers and we can't hang out any more.
This is a perfect example of WHY most guys get married. You're terrified of being alone and don't think you'll have any friends or pussy if you don't convince some chick to marry you. But what you don't understand is that being married in your 20's is no guarantee that you'll be married in your 30's, 40's or 50's.
You do your thing. I'll do mine. We'll compare notes when we're 80.Last edited by BEARDofNORRIS; 07-27-2012 at 09:54 AM.

first off, most of this applies to westernized marriage situations.
repped. one of the best things you can do is have her in a financial hold, as bad as it sounds.

And what about the woman that has a career, but slows that down when she has a child? This equality thing has skewed marriage, marital roles, and even what men expect from a marriage. Would men prefer paying a complete stranger to raise their kids, so that their wife can play equal breadwinner? I know women that pay their entire salaries to 'other' women, so that the wife doesn't have to play housekeeper/mother to their families. They come home exhausted from some 9-5 job, end up having minimal to no contact with their homes, children and men. And for what? To pay another woman that doesn't give a damn about the kids, who won't offer consistency or the strong nurturing needed to raise children? For what, so that the wife can save face as a feminist, or so she doesn't have to make sammiches for her man? And so that she'll look good in her man's eyes?
There are 'roles' necessary in relationships, but these feminine roles are consistently looked down upon by both men and women. Or as if being a good homemaker is some sort of flaw in a woman, something that needs to be bred out of her.“Any idiot can face a crisis, it is this day-to-day living that wears you out.” Anton Chekhov

x2. Would never marry a "party" girl. Actually, I would never marry a girl who gets drunk period.
Because they pretty much were 'married'. If you live with, are buying sh!t with them, and have kids, you are pretty much married even if you haven't filled out paperwork. It would have been smarter of them to actually go through with the marriage and get a prenup and everything documented properly.
Where I live there is no 'common law' marriage. But I would still never live with a girlfriend/ anyone without a contract.
In the state I live in, if someone establishes a residence the only way you can get them out is to legally evict them (which can take like 30 days). If they leave with some of your property, owe you money, etc., you are going to have sue them in civil court (and will have to prove whats yours). This goes for roommates, friends, relatives, etc.
As for the marriage deal, where I live everything is community property when you are married. There is no x item belongs to this person, z item belongs to the next. It doesn't matter who its registered too or what it is.
BTW as a male you should be aware, unless you can prove the mother is unfit you are pretty much gonna lose custody and will pay child support. Its not hard to prevent pregnancy, so just a few minutes of forethought can prevent ALL of this.

Not really, I actually know a couple of guys that marry these seemingly "obedient and subserviant" immigrant hotties and once they get accustomed to the western lifestyle, they cheat and leave the second they can. Actually knew one guy that got so screwed over by his hot immigrant wife, he went from a balling $1mil house to a $1000 crappy rent apartment.

What I was talking about was a different scenario. There is no 'common law' marriage where I live. However, where I live if two people live together it can be an absolute cluster when they part ways on bad terms.
Assuming you two buy a house, car, etc. together, when you part ways it will be a civil court battle for who gets what/who pays who. This isn't just for houses/cars, its for all of the items in the residence except obvious personal belongings.
No, you aren't going to get alimony. This scenario isn't about one person supporting the other, its about property.
Basically what we run into a lot is person a and person b live together. Both get in an argument and one decides to move out. Person B suddenly wants to take the TV that "he" payed for. Person A insists that the TV belongs to him. Basically law enforcement will stand by while person B gets personal belongings (clothes, documents, etc.) and leaves. If person B wants that TV, he's going to have to sue person A in civil court for that TV.
Now, assume for a second person 1 has a lease on a apartment and person 2 moves in with them. Assume person 2 establishes a residence and pays no rent, no bills etc. Then person 1 decides he wants to kick person 2 out because is a freeloader. Basically person 1 cannot just kick person 2 out, even if he isn't on the lease and pays nothing. Person 1 has to file for eviction (which can take 30 days). Keep in mind, establishing residence = not hard. Its as simple as moving your stuff in and living there.
Rule of thumb = never let anyone live with you without a contract unless you are 100% sure that person won't try to screw you over later.

Chris Rock from "Bring the Pain" (1996):
"So you gotta look at OJ's situation. He's paying $25,000 a month in alimony, got another man driving around in his car and ****ing his wife in a house he's still paying the mortgage on. Now I'm not saying he should have killed her... but I understand."Look, you're my best friend, so don't take this the wrong way but, in 20 years if you're still here postin' in hhhnnnggg threads, beggin' for mod reps, and braggin' about whales you harpooned from POF, I'll f'in kill ya. That's not a threat, that's a fact, I'll f'in kill ya. You got somethin' none of us have, and you don't owe it to yourself man, you owe it to me. Cuz tomorrow I'm gonna wake up and I'll be red, and I'll still be a socially awkward/FA. And that's all right.
