Alright so I'm a very experience lifter, been lifting for 2 years and in that time ive lost 80+ pounds through lifting and cardio alonside proper nutrition ofcourse.
I used to be able to push a ton of weight in the first year of my journey, then as i started losing between 200 and where I am now, I lost a ton of strength and size because I was not really lifting a whole lot due to circumstances in my life.
I am now around 165 and I want to shed all the fat that I have left on my body this summer and start from the base and bulk all next fall while I am in the police academy.
Should I lift heavy with low reps or med/heavy with higher reps.... I just want to retain strength etc.
Sorry for the life story, if you dont want to READ here are the key points. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
-Want to get shredded (Lose the BF that I have left)
-Want to retain strength
-Heavy weight/Low reps (6)
or
-Med/Heavy weight with higher reps (8-10)
-I will be doing intense running and cardio (2-3x/week) to keep in shape over the summer before I go into the police academy

An experienced lifter would not be asking this question.
