I'll assume by "healthiest" you mean you are looking for the lowest cals and most satiating... which would be their salads....

or several white chip macadamia cookies fresh out of the oven..... mmmmmmmmmm

OP, i presume you are talking about food that is low in calories while being micro-nutrient dense. In this case, and in most fast food chains, salads are probably your best bet.

If i have to go to fast food, I always go to subway. I get the chicken bacon ranch.. footlong on wheat with cheddar cheese and all the veggies.. no ranch or any other sauce, and no avocado.. Comes out to like 960 cals, 91g carbs, 72g protein, 35g fat.. Only bad part is the 2000 mg of sodium. But you cant go to any fast food and not be overloaded with sodium.. Its easy to go on the subway website and make a sandwich that suits your needs as far as macros though..

^^ that's not low cal bro

If you want a sandwich that is low cal I always get a footlong turkey with american on wheat, lettuce tomatoes etc mustard. never had a subway salad. they have a nutrition calculator on their website.

It comes out to only like 620-50. Pretty low for a 12 inch sub.

Subway salads are just a subway sub without the bread. So for example... the sweet onion chicken is like... 210 cals with chicken, no cheese, and a bit of sweet onion sauce.

I guess you think olive oil, avocados and salmon are good examples of "unhealthy foods" because they're calorically dense.

Who says "healthiest" means low cal? It all has to do with what your doing with your body at the time.. Its just an example.

Salad with roasted chicken. No sauce. No cheese.

Roasted chicken on wholewheat with a ton of salad/vegies. No sauce. No salt. No pepper.

Subway's not that great though. It's not as healthy as one would assume.

6" double meat roast beef!! Pick your bread and your veggies, hard to beat in terms of protein content/quality (beef for goodness sake) and if you are keeping cals low because you're trying to lose a bit of body fat, it's a great snack! Uh oh I mean meal!!

no, but most people still understand what people mean. The "healthiest" term was used some years ago in here just as frequently and people knew what it meant. They didnt exclude olive oil, peanuts, etc because they were calorie dense.
It just seems to me that saying:
    "define healthiest"
    "IIFYM!"
disregards what little knowledge people should get about nutrition. Guess what, people wont change their lifestyles by eating whatever they want. They need to learn and then make educated decisions. IIFYM is a good term for people who understand moderation and not those who eat poorly and call it "fitting my macros"
There's no black and white but dodging the question completely without even helping those who know less about nutrition just looks like a smart ass attitude.

    Just my opinion though.

I read somewhere that the likes of mcdonalds overload their salads with salt and sugar. Thats why I dont eat anything that doesnt have an indepth nutrition label.
