Yeah I do that. I always favor hitting in Fantasy because its harder to replace then pitching. Also take in the fact, Strasburg has an innings limit and the GM has made it clear that he will not go pass that. If your desperate for pitching look for Trevor Bauer or Danny Hultzen whenever they come up. Upton hasn't been that good and I think is a bit overrated but he is a nice haul for Strasburg.

In response to the above poster, maybe shop one of your outfielders for an infielder. I think the deal is too good to pass up because Strasburg will be shut down.

Hard to say but i think its unwise to add another OF when you already have 2 on the DL that should be due back reasonably soon; you might be able to get a better IF if you trade a SP rather than an OF

Looks pretty good, the only weakness I would say is 1st base and Hosmer is slowly coming around. I'm not a big fan of your SS position players but they are adequate. I would look to sell Reddick and Quentin because one is unproven and the other is injury prone.

ya, can't get anyone to buy them right now. When I look at my team, I don't see any glaring holes. SS isn't strong but like you said, neither of my SS's are horrible. Maybe I need to just be patient and wait for Longoria, Gardner, and Kemp to get back and stand pat with my pitching. This is tough.

How do you get 25? Granderson hit 40 or so last year, Willingham around 30 and Hart around 25. Willingham and Hart are on pace for 30 a piece this year? Great, Granderson will hit 45 at least. You are severely underestimating the difference between Granderson and the next best player in the deal Willingham. He is by far the best player in that group, plays in the best offense in that group, and his team will be playing meaningful games for the rest of the season. Outfield is the deepest position in fantasy baseball outside of starting pitching. You don't trade a top 5 OF for a top 20 OF and a top 40 OF.

Strasburg is on an innings limit this year, i believe, so i would try to cash out on him right now. I think you can get more than jupton though. Even though he is starting to come around I still dont trust him. (I have upton in a league btw)

I agree. I don't think I would deal for J-Up right now. I have him on almost all my teams (he was my preseason MVP pick) and I'm kicking myself right now. The guy is flat out killing me.

they will. He is their franchise and they did the exact same thing with Jordan zimmerman last year who had tommy john the year prior. It's predicted a 160 max IP limit, which would put him out in about 7 or 8 more weeks i believe.

this also, anything of value, especially good value for Strasburg in re-draft leagues is smart to do right now. I moved him for Trout over a month ago, that move paying off big time. I also got more in that trade I'm forgetting but Trout main piece.

Lol at people thinking they'll just shut down Strasburg with a month or so to play. If anything they'll spread his starts and innings out so he can pitch the entire season. They've already been doing it to this point.

He's at 84 innings now, which is basically half his season and we're almost at the halfway point anyway. So double his stats as of now and you have his end of season numbers: 18 W, 22 QS, 220 K's with his era and whip probably coming around what it is right now. That's still top 5 SP year end status.

If you're shopping him you should be getting someone like Hamilton, Braun or Trout back or you're getting ripped off.
