Lack of iron bruising? Women's multi vitamin question.

I've been taking a generic women's multi vitamin now before I head to the gym but have been noticing a lot of bruising in my body. A lot of random bruises on my thighs and calves and then bruising on my triceps on each arm. I'm taking the multi vitamin , a Hair skin and nail vitamin oxyelite pro , l carnitine and dymatize whey 100 protein after the workouts. Is it a lack of iron or something? I mean I am not that clumsy to where I ever have bruises on my arms so it's really strange that I have bruises now.

Does anyone also have any suggestions on what a great women's multi vitamin would be for someone who lifts 5 times a week?

    Thanks!

I too would love to hear suggestions on this. Lately it seems like no matter what I do I keep bruising, even more so now that I am back into lifting. It never used to be this bad, but it's hella annoying. I've been told to try taking more Vitamin C, but I haven't noticed any difference with that yet [only about a week]. Also more Vitamin K [strong relation to possible gluten-intolerance]. In my own diet I get plenty of iron and still bruise.

I've been trying to find a great multi-vitamin and the one I am considering returning to is Usana [though a bit expensive].
Better than I used to be.

    Hi ladies,
I've had this problem as well and I take a multi and extra iron supplement. I did some research and it's not due to a lack of iron but rather other micronutrients:

"One of the main causes of bruising seems to be a deficiency in certain nutrients, primarily vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K, bioflavonoids, and zinc."

Also, any supplements that thin your blood, including fish oil, can make bruising more noticeable. Reading all this, I didn't find any solution but that if the bruising is really bad, to consult a physician.
