I'm revved up for training next week as well. I've been a grumpy old man this week just coming home from work like a "normal" person...I think my wife and kids are ready for me to start lifting again as well

Ugh, did my last deload today. I knew that I had some shoulder issues lately but man I did some rear DB flyes today and could barely do the 20s/25s without triggering some pain my shoulder/upper back. Did the shoulder mob preworkout that Paul suggested and enjoyed it, gonna have to keep up with the soft tissue work here. The weird thing is that rows didn't bother me at all.... so has to be tied in some to the shoulder I Think.

Also in, set a personal goal to someday reach your Competition lift numbers. Maybe end of year or this time next.

COMMENTS:
Alright, the 5/3/1 train is officially starting. After getting my weight back down to around 185 I definitely "fell off the macro wagon" and probably ate somewhere in the neighborhood of 7-8k calories on Saturday and weighed in on Sunday morning at around 190. Whoops After talking with Brad, will be on some reduced macros this week starting tomorrow to try to clear/clean it up a little bit but I'm also considering starting the wedding cut now because that would give me some time to "eat" into the wedding (meaning, I think I could hit my weight goals by around mid to early August and then walk up my calories to maintenance levels for the wedding + honeymoon). But, still gonna mull that one over for a bit.
352.5 x 10 is definitely a rep PR for me so feels goodNew log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=144101461

Well, you can't start off with bench and compete with all the Monday Bench Monkeys.
And yes, the last set blew. The first two were nice and light warmups... we jacked this new template for the assistance work from the 2nd edition. I like it, Week 1 is 3 sets of ten at 50/60/70% of your 1RM. Then week 2 it's 8@60%, 8@70%, 6@80%. And then Week 3 it's sets of 5 @ 65/75/85%.
Well I mean the weight difference only matters for Wilks score right, and Thad will tell you that THAT DOESN'T MEAN ****. (Okay, fine, one last reference )
It was bad. I don't think I was recovered from that set of 10 until after the front squats.
And damn straight! I spent my 15 bucks on the coasters and I'm gonna use them every chance I get .New log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=144101461
