Both the white "victims" (I know that this isn't the politically correct term) were kidnapped and tortured and raped repeatedly for days. The male was raped by the female with foreign objects, she later castrated him and cut his penis off. I believe they then burned him alive right in front of his girlfriend. The men brutally, and repeatedly raped his girlfriend in front of him several times. They later bounded her, dumped acid down her throat, vagina, and ass (to get rid of any DNA evidence) gagged her, put her body (still alive) in trash bags, then discarded her like trash to be disposed in a trash dumpster....Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and the rest of the "national media" were literally no where to be found on this issue...But apparently a latino (who the media wrongfully termed as "white") who defended himself from a thug...apparently is far more news worthy than five blacks brutally murdering two young whites.

This case should have never turned into a race war. People are so quick to follow their emotions.

By law Zimmerman is innocent. He broke no laws and was completely within his rights whether. Whether they are deemed ethical or not is NOT RELEVANT.

Martin broke the law by assaulting Zimmerman and in response he was shot by self defense which is protected by law.

In the end, people can rant all they want about who did what wrong. All that matters is who is guilty in the courts. In this case it was Martin. End of story.

Knocking him down to the ground with a punch probably wouldn't stop him from pursuing. Trayvon most likely assumed that he would have to knock Zimmerman unconscious in order to end the threat. That seems like a completely reasonable assumption to me.

I don't think Zimmerman should get life in prison, but he should be punished. I honestly do not believe he was following Trayvonn with the intent to kill him. He probably didn't even want to hurt him and was legitimately just following him to make sure he wasn't a criminal. Even so, if you pursue someone against their will for no good reason (and there was no good reason), taht person should have the right to defend themself as much as necessary. The aggressor/pursuer should not get the right to self defense over the one he pursued.

It shouldn't have even crossed his mind to pull a gun when his actions caused the altercation. He should know that Trayvon was just defending himself against the threat.

Ofcourse the media couldnt resist and told HER side of the story. All the media has been telling only one side of the story. People go crazy all believing her side without ever hearing zimmermans or the police or other witnesses. Mass protests all over the place. Now when new details come out all these protesters will refuse to believe them since they already took such an aggressive hard stance and dont want to look like idiots. Even our president Obama took sides before hearing both sides of the story. Was about to write something very similar to this, couldn't of said it better. People will know they look like idiots after they are proven wrong but instead of giving up, they will continue protesting after new evidence that tells the whole story is released.
