    Lifting when aching

Just got back from holiday and lifted for the first time tues. Have been working all week which has been quite physically taxing on my body as its involved using a sledge hammer and lots of carrying.

Should I crack on tonight at the gym? Or leave it another day to recover (which I might not do as I'm still working)

*forgot to add that I'm aching quite badly, not sure if it's that I'm overworked or if it's cause I haven't lfted in a while.

    Cheers.

I would say, based on experience as a (former) long time laborer, if your not in pain then pop a few advil and hit them weights. If you feel like your injured then dont, but other than that its likely just from not lifting or exerting yourself for awhile...and make sure your hydrated/salted b/c dehydration will cause all sorts of aches and pains.

It all depends on your bodies ability to recover and how your nutrition is. Cedric mcmillen is a full time army guy so that is his first priority and he trains when he can. If he's been working hard or hasn't been able to eat properly he s smart enough to know he won't grow so he doesn't work out that day.
I'd say rest up a day.
