It's always easier to just believe the lies our government feeds us on a silver platter in order to lull us into a false sense of security. Being aware is fcking depressing brah. There's hate and rape and murder and war and ****... If we just stick our heads up our asses though we can just pretend like the world is find and nothing bad will ever happen to us.
It's like unemployment over here, the .gov says hey look we made 30,000 new jobs this week... Yea but those are temporary jobs, and 40,000 more people filed for unemployment this week. Or in Australia... ban guns so gun crime goes down a little but burglaries sky rocket. You guys already banned knives... whats nest? Sharp sticks? Base ball bats? Bow and arrows?

Actually it's a really dumb question and an incredibly dumb and irrelevant analogy. I carry my gun because I refuse to be a victim of violent crime. How is school campus any different. People authorized to carry a firearm should not have their licenses invalidated simply because they are standing on school grounds.

One in two Australians overweight
Report says obesity rates rising
Health experts call for tax on junk food
AUSTRALIA has the most rapidly growing obesity rate among developed nations, according to an international report.
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development report found obesity rates in Australia had been increasing faster than any other advanced nation for the past 20 years.
The report, which analysed 33 countries, found one in two people were overweight in Australia and the proportion was expected to rise a further 15 per cent in the next 10 years.
Australian experts called on the Government to tackle the problem.
WHO collaborating centre for obesity prevention director Prof Boyd Swinburn said the Government needed to ban junk food advertising and label food with traffic lights: green for those low in fat, salt and sugar, and red for those that were high.
Obesity Policy Coalition adviser Jane Martin called for taxes on junk food and subsidies on healthy foods to make healthy choices easy.

I agree. The government should not make it illegal to smoke on any private property. If a daycare wants to allow smoking they should be able to. A restaurant, bar, bowling ally, you name it...any private location should be legally able to allow smoking. Now, in the case of the day care center if they allow smoking around children they probably won't have any customers in short order, so they won't be doing that.
And smoking isn't even a Constitutionally protected right.
BTW: Your trolling sucks. On this topic there are much, much better 'arguments' you could put forth. I mean, seriously...this was the best you could come up? That's fuking pathetic.

The term "Rights" are very simple to understand.
You should have the "right" to do anything you wish so long as it doesn't infringe upon the "rights" of others. To give a rebuttal to an above post; smoking in a daycare infringes upon the rights of those children to have clean, healthy air. Which I certainly believe is their right. It also infringes upon the rights of waterpark customers to put razorblades on the slide.
Unfortunately, the government doesn't see it that way. There are many cases where they have stuck their noses where it doesn't belong. They often see it as necessary to protect us from ourselves. Or at least, that is the excuse they use.Semper Fidelis

you don't quite get it. though the absolute number of violent criminals may be lower YOUR chance of being victimized is SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER THAN MINE.
chew on that for a while.
today.
"yo dude. we don't have as many criminals as you do. neener neener neener."
tomorrow.
"oh ****, i just got stabbed in the neck by a sharpened screwdriver."

Stupid people with guns are the only problem with guns, and the same can be said for any other weapons. Me, If I truley feel like I need a gun, best believe I will be getting one, but at this moment in my life i'm good with out one. Its a lot of responsibility right? Like op said the parinoia was too much for him and thats with out showing it or using it. Safety of one's loved ones and self should be first and foremost if I ever am going to be armed.

That is nowhere near a dumb question. Consider it a discussion point, make your case , then defend it. The analogy was spot on and didnt pertain to infringed "rights", he only asked if a person should feel obligated to do something simply because he can. Considering it a "dumb" question would be looking into it wrongly. just sayin
