Ah, good thread. I added it to my list for people who have questions about when they might want to take aminos. Haven't updated the first post here yet though.
Hmm. I'll have to look it over and see what others says. Seems Pinch isn't very fond of it. I'm busy for the next few hours, but will check it out in a bit.
Perhaps not, but if a few of the more knowledgeable people at least have it handy they can link others to the appropriate stuff perhaps. I can hope anyhow
Btw, took Focus XT tonight and loved it! Tasted like candy too.
Nice. Will temporarily add it to my list, but if you happen to stumble across anyone discussing this study that would be even better. I like linking to descriptions of studies since some people get lost trying to read the abstracts or studies themselves. I'll see if I can't find some more info myself later.Latest Reviews:

Doesn't this article basically say that cyclic keto diets aren't good and that keto diets in general aren't good? What I took from it was, maybe there is a way to tweak keto diets so they don't suck... but they haven't really verified any of it and most likely they won't be all that great.

Adding the Icariin / Nootropic links. I realized most of my supp links previously were for supps which sucked. It's definitely a good idea to have links for those that work too. Perhaps I need to make three categories in the future:
Bad Supps, Good Supps, Questionable Supps
As to the Nitrates study, I'm trying to mostly link to threads about topics rather than hard studies. It'd be very easy to link to a study that'd make people think arginine is good, but if it was linked to a discussion on arg people would quickly point out that oral arginine supp is nearly worthless (for most purposes people use it for). Also, by linking to a discussion, lots of studies can be linked in that discussion and they can be analyzed a bit for people.
But I'm all for a nitrate link if there are any good ones available. Perhaps even one of the initial C-Bol threads which Dr.P, No hype, and others participated in would fit the bill.
If anyone else has more experience on this site let me know if they think it's a good link. I've honestly not been there much previously and as I've said, I'm trying to link mostly to direcy discussions of topics. Though I do think links to articles by AA, etc are good. So I'll check the page out more myself as well. But I don't want people to have to dig through entire websites, would love for the info to be right in front of them immediately when clicking a link.Latest Reviews:

The guy from the leangains website is the most knowledgable about IF of anybody in the industry currently. MOST of is science is sound...he does kind of skew a few studies here and there in his favor of marketing his training campaign..but I recommend anybody who wants to start IF to that site. It's the only haven to really figure out what you wanna do. He offers several different options for IF.I can do amazing things for your body composition. PM for more info.

basically says cyclic and straight KLC diets suck for high performance athletes (who mainly depend on the glycogen stores for energy)
Some low performance athletes saw slight improvements or no change in endurance (he 'cited' Phinney's article; abstract below)
Abstract
Impaired physical performance is a common but not obligate result of a low carbohydrate diet. Lessons from traditional Inuit culture indicate that time for adaptation, optimized sodium and potassium nutriture, and constraint of protein to 15–25 % of daily energy expenditure allow unimpaired endurance performance despite nutritional ketosis.
paper found here: http://www.nutritionandmetabolism.com/content/1/1/2
And that doesnt include cyclic ketosis. Honestly I haven't looked at most of these studies since I finished my cut last may, so I'm probably lacking in my knowledge.
also I havent read that article in its entirety yet so I dont know its usefulness as of yet. I have to get ready for class tho. I'll check back here tonight"Don't ask for a lighter load, ask for a stronger back."
If I buy milk from the grocery store and get it home only to realize that the jug is expiring tomorrow...I sure as hell am not driving to punch a farmer in the face and tip his cow over.

ooo that's what you were asking
yeah lol, it's garbage.
I also remember hearing that being in ketosis for a long period of time affects the acidity of your blood (in a bad way) but I don't remember the specifics.
I think that's where the whole cyclic diet idea came from but I honestly have no clue"Don't ask for a lighter load, ask for a stronger back."

Ok, just making sure! For some reason I was thinking you were supporting Ketogenic diets, lol. I was confused by the link because of that
Right about the time your average post resembles that of a sane human with a functioning brain.

Reps for the first person to find a great thread about creatine dosage, or better yet, a single post where someone very intelligently sums up the proper dosage and links to a study or two to back up their points.
The more detailed explanation the better. Bonus points if it includes how creatine actually works as part of the description as well as explains that loading and carbs are not required.
I know I've seen some, but I've never saved a linkLatest Reviews:
