Don't forget about the old-fashioned ways of recovering faster that also enhanced muscle recovery. Using the acronym RICE: Rest Ice Compression Elevation. Supplements and drugs can help but they can also not replace some vital recovery methods that are much cheaper than any supplements. Ice application like ice packs are important because they provide some much-needed swelling and inflammation reduction. Adequate muscle rest may also be hard for you to achieve since your lifting and practicing so often. Good luck with everything and don’t be afraid to try your own unconventional recovery methods!

So we should stop taking supps/protein and just ice and elevate? Don't think so...I think the kind of recovery he's asking about is more related to rebuilding/growth

I'm more looking for something that will help recover from the soreness of muscle growth. I like to push myself to the limit. And I'm a "full-range-of-motion" lifter, so I feel it alllll the way through me the day after. I don't take anything for muscle recovery because its not about crashing with me... its about feeling super sore. Is there anything that could speed that recovery process up? Cuz for the meantime I just keep it old school, warm up really quick, stretch, then quickly do whatever I did to make me sore... that way I get a couple more hours before my muscles get cold again.

For what's it worth I just starting using amino energy, along with my whey and casein friends. It's not a world beater, but it has helped my recovery moreso than not using it.

It's a little under-dosed, but proper uptake and diet has been helping me.

That's an understatement. The product is crystal light with caffeine.

    Natural, no-cost Muscle Recovery Enhancement

Keep in mind that most always the best way to quicken workout recovery is the one that is available to everyone. The synonym RICE helps more bodybuilders recovery from constant workouts more than any supplement on the market. Go natural, and see recovery duration diminish.

So what I'd like to know is if there is any supplement which is safe for a 16 yr old to take that will boost my recovery so that the energy loss/muscle fatige of lifting hard for the whole week won't affect how I play hockey (i'm a goalie so my position relies largely on reflexes which is why I am so interested in muscle recovery).

Focus, concentrate, lift, rest adequately, repeat. No talking.

The only way you will get smarter is by playing a smarter opponent.
The only way you will get stronger is by training with a stronger partner.

If you need to grunt while moving some heavy ass weight in the gym, go for it. I probably can't hear you anyway since I have some Black Sabbath turned to 11 in my ears.

But grunting in the locker room, especially from behind a stall door, is just fooking disturbing. Please refrain.
