Angry My blood, sweat and tears.. not helping that much

I've been lifting religiously.... a split 4 day a week routine for going on 4 months. The big problem is... I've stopped seeing much in the results. You can see here: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=128837751

I'm keeping form. I'm doing the "big" lifts... squats, deads, chins.... as far as I can tell I'm doing it like you're "supposed to" to get big. I mean I'm really, really busting my ass in there. to the point I'm on the edge of nausea after most of my workouts. I've been making gains as far as the weight/volume is concerned, although not as fast as in the beginning (I started after a 4 month, no exercise, not so healthy eat tiny amounts and walk 3 miles a day diet)

My goal was to bulk to around 200 by Feb and then start a 12 week gradual cut while lifting, adding cardio, and buying some XTEND.

The big issue I think now is, my metabolism is pretty high, and now I'm on prescription Vyvanse, which is making it SUPER high, and killing my appetite. I'm on the prowl for high-calorie, high-protein snacks that are tastey, affordable, and abundant.

Any ideas? Am I missing anything else? It sucks to go another week, 2 weeks, not gain any weight... in fact, SOME weeks.. I've freaking LOST!!!!

It is natural to hit a plateau after a while, when was the last time you changed your routine? With that said, your medication sounds like it is a factor, I am not doctor and don't know much about what you are on. Though if it has your metabolism kicked into over drive, maybe you should talk to your doctor about adjusting the doseage?

I think if you re arranged your program and shocked your body you may see some new results (aside from the medication which I know very little about) it sounds as if you have hit a plateau, it happens to all of us. Make some changes if you can and push through man!

Similar to the poster above me, I would recommend switching up the program. I mean like a major overhaul.

And I can't really comment on your medication because I don't know anything about that stuff. Perhaps your doc might have some insight?

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

yeah definitely don't give up, you've hit a plateau. You need to switch your routine up right away. Shock your body for a bit, throw it a curveball and let it deal with it.

    Good luck

    Thumbs up Mix it up

I agree ..try mixing it up more....sometimes our workouts get comfortable and when they do... your progress suffers...Dude... Also monitor your protein levels....If those muscles don't get that building block....Mass growth suffers....Lastly...Keep a positive outlook...Your body needs those mental cues ....mental helps physical....I'll be keeping positive thoughts for ya...Self
While liftin duh weights I yell out..."You sexy beast"...."Squeeze metal for papa".

You said yourself you don't have much of an appetite, you need to eat like a mother to see any gains in mass. A good way to get a bunch of calories is a homemade weight gainer shake - I drink one every morning milk, almonds, peanut butter, fruit, throw in some protein powder if you want.

Also you mentioned you were planning on taking Xtend, I don't see the point in this. Those products are all hype and marketing. It would be a waste of money in my opinion.
