Quick and Simple question about gains (new to BBing)

I've never done a real BBing routine before (besides BS highschool **** where I never changed excercises/reps). I've only done powerlifting routines with limited isolation moves, and usually 5reps and under for everything else.

I am now switching to a "powerbuilding routine" (modified 5/3/1) but on a cut. I don't expect to see size gains since I'm on a calorie deficiet, however has anyone had experience gaining size while on a cut because of "newb gains"? Keep in mind I'm not new to lifting, but new to a BB style of lifting. Just curious to what I should expect from this, because they are two completely different styles of lifting.

Stats? I suggest you bulk up for your first 2-3 months of lifting and take advantage of your noob gains, don't cut and waste them.

Eat lots, and keep lifting. Watch the results roll in. Then in a couple months go on a cut!

    5ft 9
    177ish pounds

don't know my numbers now because last time I maxed I weighed 190 (on a cut now for summer..)

but at 190lbs, depth of squat was below para

    bench - 235
    squat - 405
    deadlift - 455

    with briefs / belt

now i'd estimate slightly lower. especially cause I had to take two weeks off of lifting because of serious cramming / all nighters for school.
