WHen you started off on your own, did you rent studio space? Bring clients along with you to your own gym, or attend the clients gym?
I am thinking of going on my own after working for a corporation for several years, I am just trying to see what the options are and what would be best.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
All the best!
Edit- I am in Canada and I have a Business # and everything ready to go, if that helps.

Oh ok, thanks for the feedback, I guess I should contact independant gyms in my area and see if they are willing let me rent space from them... Would you be able to provide me a range or how much this would typically cost? I know it is quite subjective and could be different everywhere, but just to give me an idea....

Oh, they'll let you, because they're not paying you anything.
Business is Money in vs Money out. You're free money to them
Power of the pen. Make sure you get a lease. Start off month to month your 1st month or 2, then go longer term if needed. Be sure to read the termination/eviction page. Make sure there's a 30 day notice on there, to be given by you or the owner. Make sure you and the owner sign it, and make a copy for your records.
In my area it cost $400 a month.Mastering Yourself Makes You Fearless

It depends on how many clients you have. Remember, clients are like gold. No one is going to just give them to you. If you do not have 10 or more clients of your own, you will not make it on your own, paying a lease. You should go somewhere that will enable you to network. Once you have a clientelle base, then you can start thinking about going at it alone.

I pay 250 per month..That is on the cheaper end,you will probably end up paying around 500 plus per month,i had atleast 10 clients when i talked to the gym, that helped big time because i had 10 new members for the gym.

With my situation and deal i have with the gym, they have to have memberships.I have no problem getting them to sign up at the gym also when i am doing a new orientation for a potential client. If you end up paying 500 plus per month then the gym wouldnt make your clients have a membership, good luck..
