I grew up eating corn and since I have started to eat healthy I shunned corn thinking it was a non nutritious vegetable used to make animals fat. I dont think corn is very popular with the health food community and I dont see it on most peoples diet plans. Been doing a little reading and it seems like in the case of potatoes corn may not be as bad as once thought.

corn is a grain not a vegetable.

I absolutely love corn, on the cob, corn bread, corn fritters, corn casserole... but it is very calorie dense. For that reason, I tend to shy away and choose other grains and veggies.

you're both wrong. sweet corn is a vegetable beacause its eaten before it matures into a grain. regular corn is a grain.
