Its full body time for me starting with legs and finishing with abs. The gym is a nice comfortable 68 degrees you need a finished basement or one of these Then on shoulder or back day you can split wood for a warm up.

Question for Hardcore when he shows his mug ...
Remember that band I hooked up to my rack for deloading BP? Well after 6 weeks the results are in...
My flat bench went from 225x3 to 225x6 clean reps.
I only deloaded on my last 2 sets with 275 for 1 or 2 reps.
Since you are a powerlifter....do you think I could've gotten the same results just using 255 unassisted?
In other words I'm not sure if deloading worked or hitting close to my max every week did.
I'd rather not have to screw with setting up the band if I don't need to.[]---[] Equipment Crew Member No 7

deloading. It put more stress on the nervous system and the increased weight on the stabilizer muscles. It also did more work for your triceps by adding reps you would not have done before because it was not getting off your chest. If you were maxing out that many weeks you would probably burn out. What size band were you using?

The light(purple) band from EliteFTS. It's hard to know exactly but I'm guessing it took 25-30 lbs off the bottom of the movement. Disregard the safeties in this pic, they are still set up for squat.

Yea thats about right. I use the preform better bands. They use the size rather than color.

what up boys?
i'm off today.
i'm starting jim wendler's 5/3/1 tomorrow. just finished with 5x5, that's my favorite program so far. i wanted to try something else, i like simple plans so i don't have to think much about it. i like to plug my maxes into a spreadsheet and just know where i'm going.
i found pl meets in march and june, i'm gonna do one, maybe both of them. i need something to do, and having a goal to work towards will be better for me. i sometimes feel like i'm not working myself hard enough in the gym."If there must be trouble let it be in my day, that my child may have peace." -Thomas Paine

I'm doing the same thing except i take out sit-ups and put a tricep exercise for 3 sets 5-8 reps, i normally do skull crushers or CGBP. this new 5x5 routine is giving me some great strength results and I'm really proud of it, i haven't worked out in a week because of a bad cold, but I'll see how well i can do.

Doing a volume-day today, bench and squats 5x5 straight across followed by some chins, then rowing at the end...

i've been wanting to compete for a few years, and i always talk about it but haven't actually done it. i was looking for meets yesterday, and my wife told me to shut up and do it. so i figure if i start a log here and tell my friends (all 3 of them), i'll kinda be held to it.

I'll be back on my regular rippetoe schedule tomorrow... Went to GR and picked up those Powerblocks, a bench press, lat and low row, buncha plates and animalfans new(to him) leg press.. so i figure moving all of that twice counts as a workout for today
