Ok say yesterday was a bad day, it involved no sleep, work and a huge deficit in calories. Today was possibly worse because it involved a huge calorie surplus.
YESTERDAY
Total : 104g fat / 102g protein - 1510 calories
TODAY
Total: 1.4g carbs / 209g fat / 333g protein - 3490 calories
Total w/o pwo snack: 1.4g carbs / 202g fat / 275g protein - 3295 calories
My goal for weight loss was 2500 calories. In both cases it got screwed up majorly. Yesterday I was on 120 mcg of clen to get me through work. Today I was on Lipo-6 and had a long weight session to cope with my excess calories.
My question is, was my constant hunger (even after eating) a result of the day previous' lack of calories. And can any of you see this possibly screwing up my efforts to get into keto, by throwing me out of it.

"They" say that ketogenic diets are supposed to blunt hunger, but in my experience, hunger is sometimes enhanced by the calorically dense, low volume foods.
Why do you think it would throw you out of ketosis? If your fat was up and carbs were down, you should stay in ketosis. You cannot make a man by standing a sheep on its hind legs. But by standing a flock of sheep in that position you can make a crowd of men.

i usually use hunger and the feeling i have inside my head to tell me whether i'm in keto.
i'm never hungry when in keto...
1.4g carbs in a day? what did you eat? i can almost guarantee it'd be higher than that!!
your 'YESTERDAY' day isn't really that bad at all, big defecit but if you're in keto, that's not really such a bad thing. the 'TODAY' day is WAY high in protein, definitely no need in that. not sure on your body fat percentage, but if you're 207lbs, i'd take in 160g protein/day MAX.
all the excess amino acids are probably being turned to glucose, thus keeping you from ketosis, and that's why you're hungry.
sometimes our life affects our goals in terms of dieting, but don't worry too much about it. sort your macros out, forget what you've done in the past and strive toward the future. best of luck to you.

haha I was responding to the guy above me, but you and I posted at the same time. But, what you said makes sense, the protein is probably getting converted into glucose. But I've also had some diarrhea so, I believe a lot of it is getting expelled, without being digested. Guess Ill just giv'er tomorrow and keep truckin.
HIIT every day for 15 mins. Usually burns around 250 calories. I use lipo-6 fatburner. I lift every day. I am 6'3 208 lbs. probably in the 10-14% bf range.
My macros are usually around 180g fat 180g protein. And I have been calculating my carbs from the nutrition label, and everything I've been eating SAYS no carbs? The cheese I buy, my chicken, eggs, everything. So if I'm calculating things wrong, then that could be the source.Last edited by faust06; 07-30-2008 at 01:07 AM.
