    AEW Forbidden Door 2024

Swerve Strickland is gonna defend his world title against Will Ospreay...I think Ospreay will win the world title (also is the international champion at the same time)...and he will defend the world title against MJF at All In 2024...possibly the biggest fresh match for AEW at this point....if Swerve loses I gotta feel for him to lose the world title so early....

Also announced is a fatal four way ladder match for the vacant TNT title...Konosuke already in it...that should be fun...

    Updated card for the PPV:

AEW World Heavyweight Championship: Swerve Strickland (c) vs. AEW International Champion Will Ospreay
AEW Women's World Championship: Toni Storm (c) vs. Mina Shirakawa
AEW TBS Championship: Mercedes Mone (c) vs. NJPW Strong Women's Champion Stephanie Vaquer
Ladder match for the vacant AEW TNT Championship: Konosuke Takeshta vs. Mark Briscoe vs. TBD

Some new names there in the women's matches, but that's the theme of the PPV....anyways would be interesting...

Awaiting more matches to be added to the card...

All of em. Titles mean nothing nowadays, especially in AEW. WWE was at least smart enough to structure their titles by TV brand.

AEW has foreign company titles on their programming. Who can't wait to see the prestigious Strong Women's Championship? There is no brand split, titles float around all over the phucking product with no actual structure.

Yeah it's kinda confusing...and then we have ROH belts in it as well, apart from that wrestlers fluctuate from division to division most of the time, so you would see the same wrestler challenging/wrestling for a different belt then what he was some months ago (little bit of that is ok, but AEW does it too much).....Why not get it right once and for all...

They way they present the Plumber's title, too, seems like he is a bigger deal than their own world champion, the forgotten Swerve.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Swerve already feels like an afterthought so they can crown Ospreay at either Forbidden Door or, if they want to hold off on him winning, at All In. He feels like a transitional champion and thus that's how he has been booked. It has been obvious since the beginning that Khan sees Ospreay as his FOTC. Which is comical considering Ospreay complains all the time about the travel. Gets paid millions to take a flight to work once or twice a week. Poor guy.

AEW and the Meltzer crowd have a massive hard-on for NJPW even though it's a dying company. Almost all of their stars are gone and an American wrestler that is signed with AEW is their world champion. Sad state of affairs.

Tuned in for the last hour for the first time in a while.

    Quick takes:
    • What’s with the writing team (do they have one?) just doing a copy and paste with these match reveal segments for the PPV with the video packages and in-ring deal? There have been like 3-4 match reveals that all had the same core basis to them. Quality builds with the PPV apparently on Sunday?
    • What a mediocre reaction for their world champion; they seem big on hybrid pubic hair/penis head haircut Osprey. Guy can go though. The E should look into him to maybe replace the Richochet role, and be a guy who can be called on to give the main players a good match and put them over.
    • Speaking of champions, looks like every other wrestler still has some sort of championship still and there are a dozen meaningless factions and friend groups with no-names
