Yeah a lot of guys used to throw 100+ pitches every outing no problem. Now when a guy hits 90 the manager is jonesing to take him out and a lot still get hurt. I think you're right it's too many guys overthrowing trying to hit higher on the radar gun. I get it's sexy to throw upper 90s and hit triple digits but you can still get guys out with elite placement.

Ugh Blake Snell is terrible for 32 mill, and he looks like he is figuring it out while he pitches(0-3)
We lost(Giants) 17-1 and the relief pitchers suck as well.
This is a rebuilding year and guys can't hit. There is an unspoken thing, we are iron brothers and sisters, we are to support each other and...It is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the iron game!

Just reminded me of the ball the guy on the A’s hammered off of the scoreboard and the A’s DEI female announcer said this one might have a chance.
I was watching an illegal stream and was the A’s broadcast vs the Guardians. Legit thought she was a one time make a wish guest announcer but she’s full time.★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Browns

Yankees doing well, but injuries are hitting. Time to see if we can weather the storm and some callups can make a difference. Poteet did well tonight but Giants aren't exactly world beaters this year. Cole coming back should be huge, but I hope front office/coaches don't rush it as we can afford to give him time.

a good buddy of mine who used to be with the Nats and Dodgers just told me that they think the sped up pitch clock is causing the pitching injuries.

That sucks. Hopefully he comes back strong. I don't mind the Giants. Their dynasty was fun to watch in the early 2010s, and they were a starting pitcher factory during that time. They'd lose one to free agency and have another one come up from the minors and be elite.
Yeah O's are tough too. Cleveland has been surprising so far. And I expect Rangers and Astros to turn it on at some point.
I'm hopeful but my expectations are tempered. Hell just 2 years ago we had an even better start that lasted well into July and was at some points on record setting pace. Then we finished the year with not even 100 wins and another ALCS loss to the Astros, and it was a sweep at that. Our offense is definitely more well rounded this year than it was then, but still.See Krackerjacked's sig

So i was watching highlights of the SF Giants/AZ game and at the end of the video they asked about a survey, so i said what the hell.
They had interesting questions:
teams you follow
most impactful player
number of games you attend
do you care about baseball gambling
age race money
is baseball boring
what would you change
i couldn't tell exactly what the goal was but they covered all aspects of the game. There is an unspoken thing, we are iron brothers and sisters, we are to support each other and...It is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the iron game!

Friday Night's Red Sox vs. Reds game was the epitome of EVERYTHING wrong with the game today.
1. Umpire was atrocious with balls and strikes
2. Red Sox struck out 14 times
3. You didn't need infielders, strike outs or fly balls
4. Reds score 2 runs on a squeeze play because pitcher tried to feed the catcher the ball with his glove and flipped it over his head to the backstop
5. Abbott absolutely, cruising in the top of the 6th, gets a K a hits 90 pitches, Ding Dong David Bell blazes a trail from the dugout to yank him.
6. Edy De la Cruz sucks.

I have been watching a ton of games this year and i have observed really bad umps.
The square, which shows the strike zone, really doesn't matter much as catchers are faking out umps with the glove movement.
The most common mistake is the pitch an inch or 2 outside the zone (left or right) getting called a strike and the player can't discuss it.There is an unspoken thing, we are iron brothers and sisters, we are to support each other and...It is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the iron game!
