Deadlifting

My first back surgery was in January 2016. Since then, in an effort to avoid future back surgeries, I have focused on only overhead pressing, squatting deadlifting and pull/chin-ups.

About 6 months ago, I got stuck on Dead's at 395 x 5. I tried the things that normally work; switching back to 3x5, tried heavy singles, took a week off. Nothing worked.

Tried 3 x 3 starting 2 June.
Pulled 405 X 5 just now.

The moral of my story is try something different, if that doesn't work, try something very different. As long as you are picking up things that are hard to pick up, you are not wasting time.

Good work eomrat and 405 x5 is nothing to sneeze at.

I was stuck on something too and decided to utilize a sports drink in which I had written off sports drinks. I blasted a PR.

I will try to find the sports drink thread I made and tell ya what I did!
