Movie was trash, inaccurate, left a brother completely out, terrible casting (wtf at Flair)

What happened

Kerry was never going to go to the Olympics to compete in the Discus-he wasn't that good. David also died in part from a drugs overdose-Bruiser Brody admitted he flushed the pills down the toilet before the cops arrived. Kerry got busted at DFW Airport coming back from his honeymoon with a colossal amount of drugs hidden on his body-Fritz made the evidence vanish from the police department due to his connections.

Kerry crashed his bike riding in just a pair of shorts at high speed, hitting a cop car & going over the top of them in 1986-he didn't lose his foot because of getting up to eat a pizza, he lost it because Fritz made him get back in the ring & work a match against Brian Adias-both him & Fritz were told he would likely lose the foot if he came back too fast.

Mike's suicide note was actually quite lengthy & tore into Fritz. Fritz did not toss a coin to decide who got the world title out of Kerry or Kevin-that was an easy choice made by the NWA board. Frtiz it later transpired actually got his staff to fake David's signature on overpriced merchandise at the David Memorial show, where Kerry won the belt-exploited his son's death for profit. In 1993 at the Kerry memorial show to benefit Kerry's children, Kevin decided to hold the promoter up for more money for him appearing-sick family.

I always thought it was a true life story too ridiculous for even Hollywood to touch, as nobody outside of the wrestling world would believe it really happened. The real story is far more shocking & depressing than the film-which basically just repeats Fritz's mythology.
