Germany had a just cause for war due to the terms of the Treaty of Versailles which was designed to destroy them financially. They had World War 2 locked up with the fall of France and Hitler ignored his generals and invaded the Soviet Union. That was a catastrophic blunder that guaranteed Germany's complete defeat.

Killing hitler wouldve really thrown off germany at that time. The guy was a searing fire of rage.
He'd just gotten paranoid - for all we know someone was poisening him somehow, throwing off his judgement. His health did begin a rapid decline at a coincidental time.
It was unlike him to throw his generals under the buss the way he did with operation Barbosa. But this is indeed the greatest weakness of fascism - once the leader is compromised, so is everyone else.
