    Landlords are raising rent because property taxes, bills, repairs, maintenance and the overall cost of living went WAY THE FUK UP

    We can't even raise the rent much higher to offset the cost of living (because renters are even more poor now) and we're actually making less money than we did a few years ago

    Understand that BOTH sides are getting fuked today (landlords and renters)

    I dont think people realize the scale of just how many people are coming in. they are bringing in the population size of 2 chicagos per year into this country of 75IQ migrants

    I think it’s probably pretty common to rent at a technical loss for normal landlords who take on a mortgage and don’t put a huge amount into the down payment to reduce the biweekly/monthly payments.

    I’m renting out a house for $2500 right now and it costs more than that for the mortgage + property tax + utilities, but I’m not relying on it for income. One day it will be paid off and producing almost pure profit, or I’ll sell it and scoop up the extra cash that has been paid down by renting it out as it also appreciates in value over time.

    I think it’s probably pretty common to rent at a technical loss for normal landlords who take on a mortgage and don’t put a huge amount into the down payment to reduce the biweekly/monthly payments.

    I’m renting out a house for $2500 right now and it costs more than that for the mortgage + property tax + utilities, but I’m not relying on it for income. One day it will be paid off and producing almost pure profit, or I’ll sell it and scoop up the extra cash that has been paid down by renting it out as it also appreciates in value over time.
    See this is a good homeowner. Not the other greedy bastards charging too much just because they want to extort renters for lots of profit.

    Property taxes in nice neighborhoods is probably alot but probably still come out ahead of rent. Repair cost is negliable.

    More people than you think are willing to have rental properties with negative cash flow solely for the Tax Benefits as well. There are a ton of ways you can reduce tax liability from a high W2 income job just by owning rental property.

    Don't think for one second you're avoiding any of that simply because you rent. Because you may not get a tax or insurance bill in the mail, but trust me, you are still paying it.
