Both influenza & Coronavirus are transmitted the exact same way, Respiratory Droplets..back in May of 2020 the CDC released the results of 14 individual studies conducted by various universities and medical institutions on the effectiveness of the mask in preventing the spread or preventing contracting the influenza virus, which is 220 nm's on average. The results were all the same. Neither did the mask slow down or prevent the spread of the virus nor did it prevent or slow down the infection rate of the virus. So if the masks do nothing for the influenza virus why would it be effective against a much smaller virus?

Falling somewhere in between the effectiveness of the Darth Vader masks and near useless surgical masks, and assuming a person is wearing said n95 to where it is uncomfortable.
To lessen transmission of a common cold or seasonal flu.

I'd rather old people getting an injection of peptides like TA-1 or TB-500. Not only would they shake off respiratory viruses with ease they'd develop less cancer and atherosclerosis. But I won't hold my breath, that would crumble sick care and a lot of hospitals would go bankrupt.
