Savages? Miracle Whip has the same basic ingredients but with less oil, and the addition of water, sugar, and spices like mustard, paprika, and garlic. Even with these additions, Miracle Whip has almost half the calories of mayo and half the fat. well, depending on what's in the house it can be one of the following
fried rice - yesterdays rice (wife is Thai so new pot of rice everyday) added to a stir fry of meat (rotisserie chicken, spam, kielbasa, bacon, shrimp, etc), onion, bell pepper, ginger, garlic, mushrooms and some thawed frozen broccoli florets, and usually red thai chilli paste. Sauce is fish sauce, magi or some version of soy sauce, other sauces to taste and then sambal or other chilli
Pelmeni salad - boil some pelmeni (Siberian dumplings, available at a E. European grocery store), add some pepper, then toss into a salad. Mixed greens, cucumber, green onion, bell pepper, cucumber, cherry tomato, Kalamata olives, Feta or Bulgarian white cheese. Top with a vinaigrette of your choice. I like balsamic or white wine .
Shopska Salata - diced tomotao, cucumber, red bell pepper with Bulgarian white cheese. Olives, and meat (your choice). Then just lightly sprinkle some red wine vinegar on top (oil to taste).
Leftover pasta or boil some fresh. Then cover with some decent jar spaghetti sauce. Everyone should have their goto pasta sauce in case of emergency. You can saute vegetables and add, even include meat. This can be done quickly.

Poverty meal #1: 6 whole scrambled Eggs with mineral salt, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, pepper, cayenne pepper and tapatio sauce + a big cut up orange
Poverty meal #2: Mac and cheese with a can of tuna + creole seasoning (AKA Prison tuna casserole)
Poverty meal #3: Pack of Raman with 5-6 whole eggs in it and barely any water left + spices (takes some practice)

1. Dice up SPAM, cook over medium heat, throw it into 90 second rice packet. If you're feeling fancy throw an over easy egg into it.

OP if you are serious, then you can't beat pork and poultry as a cheapest source of protein. Italian noodles with grated cheese are cheap as borscht.
If you want to spend time, you can boil the living hell out of soup bones. They are like 1$ per pound. Use this thick stock for making Chinese noodle soups. It'd be cheap and nutritious.
