Inb4 here we go again
I feel like summers are the worst to buy a car cuz prices are high and winters are best
How is the car market these days?
Thinking of getting a used or new corolla
Is it worth paying a bit more for hybrid cuz I think with gas prices these days it’s prolly worth it
I just want to get new cuz don’t want to pay for inspections for used cars to find they are bad
And if I buy a new one I can just sell it in 5 years and not lose much in value right?

At least you want a reliable Toyota. Dealers these days add in all kinds of price gouging crap that they don't tell you about until you have already commited to buying the car.
They also put on their own GPS, that they charge you for, that tracks you so you can be on their elcectronic plantation so they can nag you when it is time for an oil change or whatever so they keep making money off of you. They claim they can find it if it's stolen as a selling point, but the real reason is for their profit.

I make 80k a year
So about 25-30k I think
I think that’s high for my salary but I just want to buy a new corolla so idk have to worry about repairs and inspections
Few years ago I was in the same spot and wasted hundreds of dollars inspecting cars I never bought
Even the corollas had problems
But I also moved to the city so I won’t really be driving much at all as everything is walking distance only really going to my doctor appointments here and thereI don't check my CP, IDC about reps/negs

Comfortable u mean sitting?
Idc about luxury and space as it’s just me driving but my friend is selling his 2018 Camry for 20k which has 9k miles but it’s been sitting for 2 years not driving
But y not just buy new
I’m thinking of corolla hybrid as gas prices are highI don't check my CP, IDC about reps/negs

But what year and miles?
Isn’t the used car market bad with high interest rates is it better to buy new?
Friend was saying 2014+
But is 100k miles fine
Worth getting hybrid
For example
2015 Toyota Corolla LE
97,360 mi.
$11,700
New one is $25k
I feel like when buying used u pay the difference in repairs anyways or am I wrongLast edited by conics; 05-22-2024 at 08:24 PM.

Buy a Japanese car that's used but with less than 20k miles. And do the proper maintenance.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Ya because if u used one ur basically paying 25k cuz of repairs right
Also that 22-23k could have 3k on top with fees
But worth getting hybrid cuz of gas prices
Also if u sell the new one u didn’t really pay 25k right
But the problem is I don’t drive much so do I really need a new one
But do I really need a corolla if I don’t plan to drive muchI don't check my CP, IDC about reps/negs

well i mean, if you don't drive much could a new one last you 10+ years? after that it would likely be worth as much as the used one you mentioned so you could get money back out of it. odds are a used one with under 100k wouldnt need too many repairs. $3k fees...not sure but you will have taxes and probably some doc fee....don't get jerked around for silly fees like paint sealant/pinstripes and whatnot.
