Hi,
I am 28 years old, working as a project coordinator/project analyst, but I am about to get fired within the next 2 weeks. I make around 65k per year, and have been at this job for 10 months, but clearly this isn't enough living in a city like Toronto. I'm trying to find positions that will accept my experience and that have an upward trajectory in terms of money but i've had no luck finding anything.
Given my experience, what career paths would you suggest I pursue, ideally in tech? I was thinking about business analyst but all these jobs ask for experience.

How to turn my life around at 28

No job change is going to turn your life around.
It's very simple: you either do the things you're supposed to do or you don't.
As for what you're supposed to do: that's entirely up to you and who you want to be.
Gradually building that discipline of doing the things that you're supposed to do is what will change your life. The billionaire and the beggar both have 24 hours in a day.

You can literally work for minimum wage and the bottom line is this: if you enjoy working you will be successful in life, if you are a lazy bum and don't want to work then you will fail.
If you're making 65k a year you're fine, JFL thinking someone needs to be making that much money to be successful.
If you don't lift then start lifting.Cliffs:

Now let's play what will Timmy do next, will he:
Run out of this thread with his tail tucked or...
Will he post my posting history (which he's extensively researched) to prove he's a winner and I'm a loser?
Option three: let aliases handle it, in true Timmy fashion.
Decisions, decisions....The billionaire and the beggar both have 24 hours in a day.

OP is in Canada. $65k CAD is only like $47k USD. That’s an insanely low wage for a project coordinator in one of the most expensive cities on the continent.
Given his experience he can probably find another job in the same field for $80k, but that’s not what he wants to do.
28 is a little late in life to do a total 180, but tech is a low hanging fruit. It’s also more about who you know srs.

Not sure what to tell you, because I can see that you want to succeed and not be a regular joe - but then again at least you have a job and are functioning correctly.
I really would like to emphasise something - your life could be A LOT worse than it is right now, so you should be grateful and thankful to God for what you do have.
People don't realise how much can go wrong for them in life, until it does go wrong. In my own experience there is A LOT that can go wrong with a person's life. Things that can go wrong for you might not even be in your current scope of experience. I know that this was the case for me."It's hard to be yourself in a world filled with haters" - WiseOldApe.
"Why be anything when you can be an influencer?" - WiseOldApe.
"It's not about what is said - it's about who it is said by" - WiseOldApe.

"Nobody hates authority more than one who themselves lusts after that exact authority" - WiseOldApe.

Become an Indian?
1 - Save money on soap
2 - Dont need money to date anyone
3 - Can house share with 20 people and feel no shame
4 - Automatically get jobs where other Indians work
5 - Toronto is India anyway
6 - Automatically start applying for every IT job by default.
Im telling you man, being an Indian is the best

To be able to "turn your life around" you need to have defined set of goals/what you want/where you want to be and what you want to achieve and start to develop a plan to achieve them, re-assessing and making adjustments as you go. You also need to know what it is about your current life/path that you dont like so that you can move away from those things towards what you do like/want/feel you need to be happy.
At 28 (in 2014) I quit my job/career path and moved across the country to start over. I had just split from a girl I was with for almost 6 years (lived together for 4) and determined that I hated my career, the city I was living and needed to make a change. I left 70k/year in Kansas City and moved back closer to home for a entry level job making $13/hr at a Wastewater Treatment Plant.

You need to decide what's next.
NGL I've heard a lot of people who were "Project Managers", some in a technical side who can talk-the-talk pretty decently, and they've been jobless for 2+ years despite numerous applications - turning to things like working at a warehouse or grocery store these days. IT IS BAD. Not even joking, I feel terrible for this one guy who was a project manager in IT space, he made 6 figs in the 2020-2021 years, but got let go and has been struggle bussing all this time with dead end minimum wage jobs. He can't do the technical IT jobs, no certifications, his experience as a project manager on his resume gets him denied.
I've heard similar for a lot of "trainers" too.
Going back to it though, you need to decide "what's next." And only you can make that choice.
There's a lot of interesting ideas I've seen on the misc. Oil rig worker being one. Air Traffic Controller too but you only have a couple of years left before you become too old for entry, srs.
I'll just throw my idea around though. Cyber Security. I know a lot of people who had irrelevant backgrounds/degrees, going from things like Accounting or Sales and pivoting to Cyber Security fairly easily. Entry pay is usually $55k-75k in the moderate CoL areas, but you can grow to 6 figures within 2-3 years (especially if you company hop). Getting into it merely requires studying for (and ideally taking and passing) some entry level cyber security certs such as the Sec+, GSEC, CEH. Then put that on a resume and start applying to entry level jobs, hopefully passing the technical interview portions. Cyber Security is a blanket term for a ton of different sub-fields... can do forensics, or incident response, or penetration testing, or threat intelligence, security tool sales, security tool implementations, risk assessments, insider threat, alert rule logic development, and much more.i7-14700k
