No he explicitly said even if you're careful and don't fuk around with it, it's still a bad deal. His argument against cash back cards was basically "you're not saving money by spending more!" Alright but what if I'm not spending more? His advice was all-encompassing; he never said frugal, financially savvy people can still use credit cards, rather nobody should use them.

Some see things this way:
The whole reason you're willing to work is so you don't have to eat rice and beans and also expect to be able to drive a nice, newer car and live in a nice place in a nice area and still expect to be able to have a savings account and vacation days a retirement, etc.
If you can't achive this lifestyle with what you have to offer then you just arent going to work at all. Then be homeless.
Being homeless and hungry and poverty and having health care chained to your job aren't good enough motivators to work. Those are neagative motivators; there has to be some positive motivators as well, so you get a new Mustang GT also. and a virgin bride with big plump lips and big boobs, so there.
