It beat God of War by a few thousand but it was a pretty underwhelming launch imo
77k peak player count is not impressive at all for such a highly anticipated pc port and during a time when there's no new AAA game to compete with.
If they didn't block almost 200 countries from buying it, I'm pretty sure it'd be 150k avg. for at least a week. But Sony's management is too rigid and too incompetent to just let those 180+ countries have PSN accounts.

Shows how zzzzzzz the other games they've released are
Game was banned in half the world and still was sony's most successful on pc
The numbers aren't impressive tho. I wonder what kind numbers Sony expects from releasing the game years later when most people have played itSometimes I park in handicap spaces, while handicap people make handicap faces

Good question but even at those number which you say aren't good, gives Sony an extra 4-5mil in revenue on the game, really a no brainier for them, as no Sonycels are going to be upset over the loss of "exclusivity" that long after release, especially since Sony gave away the game for free on PS+ long ago. I like their PC release model.
Wasn't it only banned it 3rd world countries?12-5-23

^^ The point I'm trying to make is obviously there's a huge legal/monetary issue in getting PSN support available in all these regions. If it was easy it would have been done already. Those 10k more steam players may not be worth the trade off for them.

Yeah it definitely has something to do with this, if it was that easy it would already be done. In my country for streaming services we pay the standard prices but get an extremely watered down hollowed out piss version where most of the actually good content is blocked.

From a gamer's stand point those pics you posted doesn't mean anything.
What gamers only care about is if they're able to register account without breaking ToS and buy games from the company
You can literally test it out from the xbox live site
I've been playing Sea of Thieves for years with my xbox live account registered from one of the countries banned by Sony.
So if there's something on the legal and business side of things that makes Sony not want to sell games on those 180+ countries, clearly, they're the only mainstream company who has that problem.

Yep i bought it for PC. I didn't even know about the game but i saw it there on steam and looked at it and it looked like a game that demanded respect and to be bought so i couldn't resist. It's great so far.
