Imo Jeff nippard has basically ruined the younger generations of the lifting community. He claims that doing half ass sets of rpe 6 are better than going all out because that's what the studies show.... The problem with the studies is that they are always performed in colleges on novice lifters who can benefit from any kind of training. pretty much 0 studies ever have been performed on elite level lifters. Sooo the science is complete bullchit.
Anyways went to the gym yesterday. It's a fairly hardcore bodybuilding gym with a handful of ifbb pro lifters however I'm the strongest dude there. There are also a lot of college aged lifters. So this college kid comes up and politely asks me if he could workout with me while I was just starting my bench session. Thinking he just wanted a few pointers I agreed... I quickly found out he wasnt interested in any pointers and actually wanted to lecture me on science based training. Basically saying that I must have good genetics but if I just followed Jeff nippard and start adding more cable kick backs to my workouts I could probably get a lot stronger lmfao. I was polite and asked him about his program. He showed me his bench day. It was literally "4x12 bench, 4x12 incline, 4x12 decline, 4x12 flat DB, 4x12 incline DB, 4x12 decline DB, 4x12 dips, 4x12 incline for 3 different fly variations... I said that's a fuk ton of volume and asked if he can actually finish that workout and his response was "yes it is lift at rpe 5-6 every set and I can get through the workout."
Feel bad for these kids. It's like bro, just lift heavy at a high intensity and once you're strength is shot the workout is finished. If you are getting stronger over time it's working. He also tried recommended I do more light DB shrugs to increase my deadlift. This whole "science based training" closes people's minds and basically makes everybody think they are an authority on lifting because they have read a couple studies. Even if they are a flabby 150lbs Jeff' nilpards latest video was asking ifbb pros if they would be willing to take some advice and he would critique their cable kick backs and chit. It's super cringe.

They don't drive me crazy. I think they add to the conversation.
But like you say, I think it may be easy for people who are new to lifting or maybe aren't well read/versed on the topic to get too worked up over the minutae and forget just to go fucking lift.
For example, in a perfect world, do I think he (and other science based lifters) are correct when they say 2-3x weekly frequency is best? Maybe, yes. Am I going to do it long term? Nope. I'm always going to go back to the brosplit which is more fun and yeilds 90%+ the same results.

I agree but some of you will agree with science for lifting is stupid, then turn around and cheerlead for CICO and IIFYM because studies support them.
People make fun of blacks, Indians and Muslims all the time on this site and no one cares. I make fun of landwhales, and all these simps show up.
At least blacks, Indians and Muslims are human beings. Landwhales belong in a zoo. They aren't even human. What is there to be offended over?

I've never actually heard anyone talk about him or anyone like that in real life. From what I've seen in the gym too most guys lift to failure every set. I personally hate Mike Israetel the most. I don't care for that loser jared feather with his stupid mohawk either but he's not as bad as Mike Israel.

Never heard of this niptard guy but I don't take advice from fgts in the gym about lifting. I told off one of those chit tier personal trainers that commercial gyms hire to harass people. He started lecturing me about how atg squats aren't the right way to lift and you should never bend your knees more than 90 degrees
You're a phаggot

I remember watching mike isratels videos where they were talking about doing like 4+ sets on things like hacksquats and adding sets each week, then I saw Jared feather and that asian charley guys traing. They were doing the same 2 working sets to failure that all geared bodybuilders do now.

I agree with you though this science based sh*t is blown out of proportion.
But I do think there's a million and one ways to have a good workout. As long as effort is there and you're challenging yourself. If you add some kickbacks and go hard on them you'll see progress so knocking his routine being high volume is just as closed minded if you ask me.
The real problem with science based ph*gs is they are more likely to get married to the idea that their way is the "correct" and only way to lift properly. This mentality isn't exclusive to them though, as you have proven ITT as well.
