Any gamers old enough to remember when

You would look at the graphics on a nes or genesis snes and think to yourself. "One day we will have photo realistic graphics " and now you realize it's here.

The game play was always what was important but we all always looked for the next graphics upgrade now there is not much further to go really.

Are developers running out of ideas?

I remember thinking that Goldeneye was almost life like. The steady climb of graphics quality made me not appreciate it as much.

Have you checked out goldeneye running on the unreal 5 engine?

If not go to youtube and check it out. Someone also has ocarina of time and Mario 64 running on unreal engine

I remember playing Pacman and Power Rangers with my siblings on Sega Genesis, srs.

Played some Crazy Taxi and SGT's Heroes on Dreamcast with my cousin too.

Even then I thought those were good graphics lol

Even games as old as Crysis 1-3 blow me away with the graphical and gamplay advancements we've seen compared to my kidhood.

Nice! This is how it looked to me back then hahaha. If I could have been shown these modern graphics back then my head would have exploded
