Yeah, you get free ****, but the median(not average, median) income in Europe after taxes in like $28,000 on average . Around 25,000 in the UK. USA is nearly 47,000.
see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Median_income
Also the USA is only 65% white, Eurasian and Asian , while western/northern Europe ,outside of Netherlands, UK, Paris and urban Germany, is still over 90% white. This means white and Asians Americans get like double the median western/northern in salary after taxes.
Something that Sanders, AOC etc. forget to mention.

UK is phucked.
However you need to bare in mind that their taxes actually provide access to services you dont have. Including things like public transport, healthcare, decent schooling, etc. Their food is not the disgusting trash we eat either.
Europe is also a big place. People in Poland are making less than people in Germany, but the cost of living is different too. Looking at it in a vacuum does not paint an accurate picture
A better approach is to compare states to European countries, rather than America to Europe as a broad average

Social systems in Europe worked when they were homogenous. The minute the immigrants and third world chit started pouring in and industry was outsourced to China, it was over.
Capitalism worked in the USA. The minute third world immigrants started pouring in and the boomers outsourced all the industry to China, it was over.
The reality is that white, homogenous populations do well under both systems.
I am a capitalist too. However I am also a realist, and if you think the average American is better off than the average European these days you are phucked in the head. Exceptions exist of course, but comparing whole continents like that his also dumb. France and Estonia are not the same, just as Alabama and California are not the same. Medians are retarded

The UK has an almost 50% working class population, with the big money being made down South. Skewed data. Regardless, it's still comparable to France, Italy, Spain etc.
In Europe you get 30+ days holiday per year and not 10 days (wtf lol). So you're worked into the ground and still have an average household debt of $104,000+.
How many people are also becoming bankrupt from medical bills and why are homeless people lining the city streets in tents?! I don't see that happening in Europe."Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it... he who doesn't... pays it" ~ Albert Einstein.

This is a point well made from you j-deeps. That data did surprise me a little.
Mostly my response would be that median income is not the only measure of value in a society and differences in political opinion more likely stem from different subjective opinions about what is important in life rather than trying to figure which system is objectively better.
Also would point out that Europe is not purely socialist nor is the US purely capitalist. How much the difference in median income is a result of the difference in where they both sit on the economic spectrum and how much is due to factors outside of that is definitely a relevant line of discussion in this debate.
Thirdly, I think it is fairly obvious by now that the US's economic and military dominance and therefore position as printer of the world's reserve currency has allowed it to economically exploit other countries to its benefit. How much this plays a role here is relevant too.
But again, point well made, props for finding relatively recent $US PPP median income data for fair comparison. I'm guessing the PPP calculation accounts for tax and also for the fact that the more socialist countries provide things (healthcare) that would otherwise be an expense in more capitalist countries. Could you explain more about how that PPP adjustment is made?

Lol that is the most bizarre and untrue rebuttal I have seen for a while. People in Australia can't afford cars? Where are you getting this from? Seriously, sit on your head because we'd get more sense talking to your azzhole at this point.
"2023 was the best ever year for vehicle sales in Australia, with a total of 1,216,780 vehicles delivered, beating the previous sales record of 1,189,116 set in 2017. Electric vehicle sales more than doubled, while combined sales of dual cab utes and SUVs represented 78.4 per cent of the market."

Eh,
My buddy lives and works in Ireland (Dublin area) and makes the equivalent of $60k/USD.
He just bought a beautiful home utilizing govt assistance for first time homebuyers and pretty much put no money down. He has a few health issues and has access to convenient, FREE, and quality healthcare 24/7. He doesnt need to own a car because public transport is great. He has something ridiculous like 20 vacation days guaranteed by the gov't and another 21 offered by his employer (8 weeks PTO total). and the food there is way less processed.
doesnt sound too bad to me.Reps to all BJJ/grappling/MMA bros.
